Pay Range: $23.45-$30.49*
The Information Systems Specialist provides software and network support, training and troubleshooting in a networked computer environment. Provides support for a wide range of applications including Microsoft and other 3rd party software.
REQUIREMENTS:
<ul><li>Position requires an AA / AS degree in computer related field plus two years relevant experience; a BA/BS degree in computer science or related discipline; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
</li><li>Requires the ability to independently perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
</li><li>Must be able to install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain all the software applications and peripheral equipment used at the hospital and outlying clinics.
</li><li>Must have strong communication and training skills and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
</li><li>Requires special technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users.
</li><li>Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
</li><li>Requires experience with personal computer equipment.
</li><li>Must have advanced personal computer word processing, spreadsheet, database, Windows, and Linux skills.
</li><li>Terminal emulation, network installation and maintenance skills required.
</li><li>Requires sufficient analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop solutions.
</li><li>Prefer a working understanding of the hospital and individual department operations, goals and objectives relating to Computer and Communications Services.
</li><li>Prefer knowledge of how to assemble and disassemble personal computer components, including cabling.
</li><li>Prefer Windows certification or equivalent.
</li></ul><ul><li>The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
