What You'll Do: As a Medical Billing Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in our Bookkeeping Department. Your responsibilities will include:
<ul><li>Answer phone calls and patient questions regarding their bills.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Submit claims to insurance companies electronically and via mail.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims, ensuring prompt collection and resolution of unpaid or underpaid accounts.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Track and manage accounts receivable aging reports, providing regular updates to Billing Director.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain a thorough understanding of payer policies, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Previous experience preferred but not required. On-the-job training provided.</li></ul>
