<div>RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li> Perform direct patient care duties.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Examines, diagnoses and treats female patients with medical problem that are obstetrical or gynecologic in nature.
</li></ul><ul><li> Referral of Pediatric female patients that require gynecological or obstetrical services beyond the services that is provided by NTACHC.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Referral of Non-Pediatric female patients that require gynecologic or obstetrical services beyond the services that is provided by NTACHC.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Acts as a consultant on obstetrical and gynecologic cases referred by other NTACHC providers that is beyond the referring NTACHC provider&rsquo;s scope of practice.</li></ul>
<ul><li> From time to time, provides in-service training for staff in selected topics as deemed necessary by the CMO.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Completes medical charts after each visit according to the problem-oriented medical records system. If not feasible, to comply with NTACHC&rsquo;s policy and procedures regarding chart completion.
</li></ul><ul><li> Adhere to NTACH&rsquo;s policy and procedure regarding management of lab results, diagnostic imaging results and after-hours calls.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Assists in internal quality control audits.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Provides quality medical care according to standards established the providers specialty and by the NTACHC&rsquo;s committee on quality assurance.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Work towards agreed personal and service objectives, with freedom to establish how to meet these within a broad framework.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Provide supervision to physician assistant(s) or nurse practitioner(s) assigned to the provider by NTACHC up to the number of mid-level providers allowed by the Texas State Board. The provider responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to chart view and co-signing of mid-level provider charts.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Supervises medical assistants, lab personnel, and other health care professional in area of specific support services for patient care delivery.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Attends internal and external meetings, workshops, and conferences required by NTACHC.</li></ul>
<ul><li> To participates on task forces or committees, as necessary and/or required by NTACHC.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Performs all duties and services in full compliance with NTACHC&rsquo;s policies and protocols.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to the patient.
</li></ul><ul><li> Provides patient education as needed.
</li></ul><ul><li> Supervises patient care by non-clinic agencies including, but not limited to health care, nursing home, or hospice.</li></ul>
<ul><li> To be accessible to patients personally, electronically, or through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.
</li></ul><ul><li> Completion of appropriate paper work to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.
</li></ul><ul><li> Completion of all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.
</li></ul><ul><li> Participate in NTACHC&rsquo;s on-call schedule.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to provide leadership and medical direction for the clinic and clinical staff.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Act as resource person for other staff on medical matters; keep informed of current developments in family planning field; may assist in training new staff, students.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Attends all staff, retreats, clinical, board or other special meetings as requested by NTACHC.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Performs other appropriate duties as requested by NTACHC&rsquo;s supervisors.
</li></ul><ul><li> Represent NTACHC at functions as requested.
</li></ul><ul><li> Supports the mission of NTACHC.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Provide referrals to other agencies and medical resources for evaluation/follow-up or treatment; responsible for follow-up of referrals made.</li></ul>
<ul><li> To always maintains patient confidentiality.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Will be available to participate in providing continuity of care.
</li></ul><ul><li> Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the CMO.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Remain abreast of current clinical practices/guidelines of the provider&rsquo;s specialty.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Remain abreast of NTACHC&rsquo;s policy and procedures.
</li></ul><ul><li> To adhere to NTACHC&rsquo;s policy and procedures regarding assignment of duties to other clinical staff members.
</li></ul><ul><li> To practice within the scope of the providers specialty.</li></ul>
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
<ul><li> Courteous, honest and professional at all times.
</li></ul><ul><li> Sets an example as a medical professional by observing work start and stop times, giving adequate notice for absences, and following clinic&rsquo;s operational and personnel policies and procedures.
</li></ul><ul><li> Able to communicate and relate well with providers and clinical staff.
</li></ul><ul><li> Maintains appropriate licensure and certification including meeting and/or exceeding CME requirements. Observes standards of medical care.
</li></ul><ul><li>Give information and carry out screening for STI's, perform HIV point of care (POC) test and also carry out cervical smears.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Efficient, organized and accurate.</li></ul>

Perform complex and comprehensive medical care on a variety of patients.
</li><li>Must have strong listening, written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly.</li><li>

Ability to travel between all clinic locations as needed when directed by NTACHC.

</li></ul><ul><li> Provide leadership to other clinical staff and healthcare workers.
</li></ul><ul><li>To act as a mentor to staff who require additional support and training.</li><li>
To promote a positive image for all who come into contact with NTACHC&rsquo;s clinical staff.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Have a broad knowledge of policies and guidelines and ensure appropriate use of these.</li></ul>
<ul><li> To ensure services at NTACHC are delivered in a clean, well maintained, and safe environment.</li></ul>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</div>
<ul><li>
M.D. or D.O.
</li></ul><ul><li> Must be in possession of a valid license to practice in the State of Texas.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Have a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of medicine and allied services commensurate with his/her training. Board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required; board certification is desirable.</li></ul>
<ul><li>
Must be registered and have current DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legally operate as a practitioner in the State of Texas.
</li><li>Must have strong listening skills, written skills, oral communication skills, and be able to communicate clearly.</li><li>
Must possess current CPR course completion card level C.</li><li>
Bilingual in English and Spanish optional.
</li><li>Consent to scheduled and random drug screen testing as required by NTACHC.
</li><li>Able to navigate NTACHC&rsquo;s chosen EMR and other computer programs effectively.</li><li>
Maintain Board Certification once obtained.
</li><li>Complete all CME training required by the Texas Medical Board.
</li><li>Completed all CME training required by the providers specialty Board to maintain specialty certification once specialty certification is obtained.
</li><li>Remain eligible for FTCA coverage.</li><li>
Successfully complete NTACHC&rsquo;s credentialing process.</li></ul><div>

Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), delivers primary care commensurate with training to patients of NTACHC. Delivers care appropriate for an out-patient, primary care community health center with multicultural, multilingual patient population.
