This is an exciting opportunity for new grads!The Behavioral Health Nurse provides care in a caring, safe and efficient manner according to program standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assists with patient evaluation upon admission; communicates with the attending physician and follows Healthcare Provider&rsquo;s orders.</li><li>Performs withdrawal and medication side effect assessments, vital signs, respiration rate assessments.</li><li>Assures medications are self-administered.</li><li>Follows detoxification and medication protocols, transcribes medication orders</li><li>Maintain safe resident living areas and support residents in recovery supportive environment</li><li>Collaborates with physicians, case managers and therapists</li></ul>Requirements:CA LVN License or Medical Assistant CertificateCPR and First Aid CertificatesValid California Class C Driver&rsquo;s LicenseCompetencies:Knowledge - Basic ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities; knowledge of basic medical assisting skills; knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered; graduate of an accredited school of nursing or medical assisting or related fieldBasic Abilities - Ability to meet the physical and mental abilities of the job as outlined in the Job Description; must be able to speak read and write in English and be able to articulate clearly and audibly; ability to meet conditions of employment applicable to the center/campus.Prior Experience - Prior work experience in like or related position may be helpful but not a requirementJob Type: Full-timePay: From $21.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>LVN or Medical Assistant Certificate (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
