POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for daily monitoring of compliance within the BSA program as directed through the AML/CFT, CIP/CDD, and OFAC Policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Understands the Verafin system to identify erroneous data and works with external vendors to maintain system accuracy and effectiveness.</li><li>
Understands the Verafin system to properly analyze and disposition BSA/AML and CDD/EDD alerts, and supplemental Cognos reports.</li><li>
Analyzes all transactions within the customer database to detect suspicious activity.</li><li>
Maintains and tracks Customer Due Diligence questionnaires that are completed within the Verafin system.</li><li>
Monitors for suspicious activity within the Verafin system or from various reports. Create cases for additional investigations and escalates to the AML/CFT Officer when necessary.</li><li>
Completes SARs within the Verafin system, as directed by the AML/CFT Officer.</li><li>
Monitors the monetary instrument log for suspicious activity and ensure the log has accurate and correct information.</li><li>
Research, as directed by the AML/CFT Officer, bank specific correspondence received from the Treasury, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, OFAC, as well as Federal and local Law Enforcement Agencies.</li><li>
Manages the Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) process; works with bank staff to ensure that CTRs are correct and properly aggregated.</li><li>
Submits accurate and timely CTRs to the AML/CFT Team Lead for final review and filing.</li><li>
Maintains a current knowledge and understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act and all related AML/CFT, CIP, CDD, and OFAC regulations.</li><li>
Performs OFAC/314a scans of customer database.</li><li>
Maintains a high level of confidentiality/security regarding all aspects relating to AML/CFT and OFAC.</li><li>
Achieves and maintains a full functioning knowledge of the Verafin system and all applicable procedures.</li><li>
Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations required by the Company.</li></ul>

Knowledge of BSA/AML laws and regulations</li><li>
Knowledge of bank policies, procedures and operations</li><li>
Four-year college/university degree in a relevant field; or equivalent job experience</li><li>
1 to 2 years of AML/CFT experience</li></ul>
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:<ul><li>
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.</li><li>
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbs.</li><li>
Consistently operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printers.</li><li>
Climate controlled general office setting with moderate noise level.</li><li>
Must express or exchange ideas and meaning with co-workers, supervisors, customers and vendors.</li></ul>
