Position Overview

Northeast Heating &amp; Cooling is seeking a skilled and motivatedHVAC Installerto join our growing team in Haverhill, Massachusetts. The HVAC Installer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality installations of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for residential and light commercial customers.

This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, professionalism with customers, and a commitment to completing installations safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards and local codes.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC System Installation

&bull; Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, and related equipment&bull; Install and modify ductwork systems as required&bull; Install refrigeration lines, condensate drains, venting, and related system components&bull; Set and level equipment, including indoor and outdoor units&bull; Complete system start-up procedures and verify system performance

Job Site Execution

&bull; Read and interpret job specifications, installation notes, and equipment manuals&bull; Verify equipment and materials before starting installation&bull; Ensure installations meetMassachusetts mechanical code and manufacturer specifications&bull; Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout the installation process&bull; Protect the customer&rsquo;s home or workspace using floor coverings and protective materials

Quality and Safety

&bull; Follow company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines&bull; Ensure all installations meet company quality standards&bull; Conduct final system checks and performance testing&bull; Identify and correct installation issues before leaving the job site

Customer Interaction

&bull; Professionally introduce yourself to customers and explain the installation process&bull; Answer basic customer questions about system operation&bull; Review thermostat operation and system functionality with the customer after installation&bull; Represent Northeast Heating &amp; Cooling with professionalism and respect

Documentation and Communication

&bull; Complete installation documentation accurately&bull; Take job-site photos when required&bull; Communicate installation progress and issues with the installation manager or operations team&bull; Ensure all job notes and required paperwork are submitted at the end of each job

Equipment and Vehicle Responsibility

&bull; Maintain company vehicles, tools, and installation equipment&bull; Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and materials&bull; Report tool or vehicle maintenance needs to management

Qualifications

Required Experience

&bull; Minimum[Insert Years] years of HVAC installation experience&bull; Experience installing residential HVAC systems&bull; Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

Technical Skills

&bull; Ability to install and configure heating and cooling equipment&bull; Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation manuals&bull; Knowledge of ductwork installation and system airflow basics&bull; Understanding of refrigeration systems and installation practices

Certifications and Licensing

&bull; Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record&bull; EPA Certification (Type II or Universal preferred)&bull; Massachusetts refrigeration license or relevant certification preferred but not required&bull; Additional HVAC certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements

This role requires working in a variety of environments including residential homes, attics, crawl spaces, basements, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.

Installers should be able to:

&bull; Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds&bull; Climb ladders and work at heights&bull; Work in confined spaces&bull; Work in hot, cold, and varying weather conditions&bull; Perform physically demanding work for extended periods

Work Schedule

Typical schedule:

**Monday- Friday 8-430 **

Examples may include:&bull; Monday &ndash; Friday&bull; Occasional overtime during peak seasons&bull; On-call rotation if required

Compensation

Hourly Pay:

$25.00 &ndash; $45.00
