Position Summary
 
The clinical coordinator will be responsible for staff nurse accountabilities in addition to more advanced requirements as delegated by the Department Director.
 
Position Accountabilities
 
Serves as clinical nurse practitioner role model for the nursing staff.
 
Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties as needed.
 
Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
 
Oversees the delivery of patient care for a group of patients; directs and delegates patient care assignments to nursing staff working on the floor, based on acuteness of patient
 
care needs and staff availability.
 
Collects, aggregates, displays and conducts first level analysis of data obtained from monitoring and evaluating the quality or utilization level of patient care.
 
Investigates complaints of patients, nursing staff, and medical staff and takes appropriate action; follows up to ensure that complaints have been satisfactorily handled.
 
Prepares and maintains records of patient charges.
 
Performs staff nurse duties as assigned.
 
Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control practices.
 
Organizes, directs, and coordinates functions and activities in assigned units.
 
Identifies and resolves workplace health and safety issues.
 
Inspects area daily for compliance with polices, procedures, regulations, and standards and takes corrective action when violations occur.
 
Maintains required unit records, reports, and statistics for administrative purposes and budget preparation.
 
Responsible for noting/connoting all physician orders.
 
Reviews all patient records for completeness.
 
Accompanies physicians on patient rounds as requested.
 
Assures all medical information is filed in patient records as requested.
 
Facilitates and expedites patient care by utilizing critical thinking skills.
 
Anticipates patient/physician needs and serves as a liaison to expedite those needs.
 
Orients, instructs and trains assigned personnel.
 
Guides, teaches and supports nursing personnel in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
 
Develops, implements and administers in-service education for nursing staff.
 
Investigates new products, equipment, and techniques and makes recommendations to Chief Clinical Officer. Participates in demonstration of these to department staff.
 
Requisitions supplies and equipment, maintenance and repair services, and prepares related forms. Keeps stock and equipment inventories.
 
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
 
Minimum Education - Associate Degree/Diploma
 
Minimum Experience - Completed initial employment period. 2-3 years general practice (I). 3 years in specialty (II).
 
Required Course(s)/Training - Basic Arrhythmia and 12 Lead EKG within 6 months Approved Crisis Intervention Course
 
Required Certification/Registration - Current Oklahoma RN license; BLS certification, ACLS, PALS, NRP and ESI Triage training within 6 months TNCC and NIMS 100
 
within 1 year
 
Preferred Education - Bachelor Degree in Nursing
 
Preferred Certification/Registration - CEN
 
Management Experience - Supervisory experience preferred

Clinical Coordinator ER - Full Time

Position Summary
 
Attends nursing station and performs clerical and reception duties, requisitions supplies, equipment, and other services as directed.
 
Position Accountabilities
 
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
 
Performs clerical duties related to procedures such as admission, discharge, transfer, and death. . Responds promptly to patient inquiries and requests. Conducts job duties in accordance with departmental standards
 
Performs basic nursing procedures.
 
Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, and respiration and pulse.
 
Provides appropriate, direct patient care and personal care assistance to patients, including, but not limited to bathing, dressing, nutritional assistance, bed pains and transportation.
 
Notifies nurses immediately of any alarms on the monitor.
 
Keeps patient records current. Organizes work to complete job tasks in a timely manner.
 
Completes logs and records promptly, recording all information that could be pertinent to others.
 
Verifies physicians’ discharge and request for medical records orders.
 
Prepares charts, photocopies information, files information, and answers telephone, takes messages, and directs calls. Communicates clearly and tactfully with patients, their families, and co-workers. Ensures that records and information are swiftly retrieved.
 
Assists patients with activities of daily living, encouraging independent behavior when appropriate.
 
Prepares patients for scheduled procedures to assist in patient assessment.
 
Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel.
 
Demonstrates sensitivity to patient’s comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress.
 
Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate record of the patient’s medical treatment.
 
Maintains confidentiality of patient and unit care data.
 
Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control policies
 
Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards.
 
Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures and after terminal cleaning. Monitors and restocks supplies.
 
Requisitions supplies and equipment, maintenance and repair services, and prepares related forms. Keeps stock and equipment inventories. Reviews supplies inventory to maintain optimal stock without excessive inventory.
 
Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient services. Organizes work to complete job tasks in a timely manner.
 
Maintains confidentiality of patient and unit care data.
 
Maintains department records, reports, and files as required. Serves as a resource to co-workers.
 
Consults with and advises unit supervisors/charge nurses on unit management.
 
Prepares and maintains records of patient charges.

Patient Care Tech Medical ICU - PRN

<div>Schedule - Saturday and Sunday approximately 3 hours per day. Courier run to Sallisaw and Urgent Care. Route needs to be completed before noon. 

Position Summary

Picks up and delivers specimens from laboratory accounts using the hospital vehicle. 


Position Accountabilities

Maintains required records, reports, and statistics as directed.

Labels and records all test tubes, logs procedures in a logbook, schedules procedures as necessary.

Assists in care and maintenance of laboratory work area and furnishings/equipment.

Maintains good relations with patients, medical staff and other departments as well as other hospitals that use services.

Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.

Attends meetings as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Position Summary
 
Provides basic nursing care to patients under direct supervision. Position previously called Certified Nurse Aide, Nurse Aide, and Critical Care Tech.
