</b></p><p>The Credit Specialist performs functions including Collections, Account Reconciliation, Customer Service and Cash Application.</p><p><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Conducts credit collections</li><li>
Calls on customers for payment</li><li>
Ensures proper follow-up on past due accounts</li><li>
Determine payment plans consistent with maintaining a continuing sales relationship</li><li>
Gathers information and makes decisions on placing customers on credit hold</li><li>
Monitors customer accounts regarding credit limits</li><li>
Prioritizes credit line reviews for existing accounts</li><li>
Follows up with customers on payment discrepancy</li><li>
Sets up new accounts per credit application and reviews necessary support documentation for credit review</li><li>
Posting of lockbox, branch payments, EFT payments, online payments; ensuring balances are correct and submitting reports to Finance</li></ul><ul><li>
Works with customers to pleasantly, promptly and professionally assist in all their credit needs, requirements and disputes</li><li>
Works with sales and management pleasantly and promptly with regard to credit line requests or customer disputes/discrepancies
</li></ul><ul><li>Attend monthly credit group meetings off site and by conference calls including related duties to these reports</li><li>
Form professional relationships with competitor&rsquo;s credit departments to ensure the best exchange of information can occur</li></ul><ul><li>
Cooperates with Management</li><li>
Adapts to changing policies, processes, and procedures</li><li>
Adheres to the rules and regulations as set forth in the Employee Handbook</li><li>
Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Related work experience in supplier commercial accounts receivable and/supplier commercial collections</li><li>
Technical skills in accounting, payment posting, account reconciliation, credit extensions, payment plans, etc.
</li><li>Planning and organization: an ability to plan and manage multiple projects</li><li>
Strong, pleasant customer orientation</li><li>
Attention to detail</li><li>
Problem analysis and resolution</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li></ul><p><br>
</p><ul><li>High performance teams and a strong team player</li><li>
Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook</li></ul><p><b>
