Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet and machinery operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse industrial equipment, heavy machinery, and automotive systems in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in vehicle and equipment maintenance.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and advanced automotive diagnostics tools.</li><li>Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure optimal operational performance.</li><li>Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair needs.</li><li>Service and repair brake systems, air brakes, wheel alignments, tire replacements, and wheel balancing for various vehicles including tractor-trailers and industrial equipment.</li><li>Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and follow safety protocols during all repair procedures.</li><li>Operate heavy equipment safely when necessary for testing or troubleshooting purposes while adhering to safety standards.</li><li>Assist with assembly or disassembly of complex machinery components during repairs or upgrades.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance; dealership experience is highly preferred.</li><li>Strong mechanical knowledge across diverse systems including transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation &amp; Air Conditioning), electrical systems, and suspension components.</li><li>Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues.</li><li>Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is a plus.</li><li>Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized maintenance tools effectively.</li><li>Knowledge of OEM parts specifications and familiarity with automotive diagnostics software.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to communicate effectively with team members and clients.</li><li>Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in various environmental conditions.
