 My client are a leading Bank based in Oman undergoing a significant change programme to transform the bank&rsquo;s offering from a digital perspective. This will take in both the front end customer experience and back office capability to drive a more effective all-round offering. Alongside this, there are a number of other cross functional projects ongoing. As such, they are looking to bring in a Head of Transformation to oversee a wide range of initiatives across the bank.
 
 
 
 
 
 The Head of Transformation is a strategic leadership role responsible for architecting and executing enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that drive operational excellence, digital innovation, and business model optimization.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Enterprise Transformation Strategy &amp; Execution
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop, refine, and oversee the execution of the bank&rsquo;s transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead cross-functional transformation programs, integrating digital innovation, process re-engineering, and operational excellence to enhance customer experience and cost efficiency.
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish and institutionalize transformation frameworks, methodologies, and governance models to ensure program consistency, scalability, and sustainability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive synergies across different business units, so that transformation delivers enterprise-wide value.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Digitalization &amp; Process Optimization
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Spearhead the adoption and integration of emerging technologies such as AI, RPA, blockchain, and cloud solutions to enhance operational resilience and digital capabilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee large-scale process optimization efforts, leveraging data analytics, automation, and Lean Six Sigma principles to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance service delivery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with IT, Digital Banking, and Operations to implement omnichannel customer experiences that enhance engagement and drive market differentiation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead platform modernization efforts, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to next-generation digital infrastructure.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Risk Management &amp; Compliance
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Establish robust governance structures to monitor, measure, and report transformation outcomes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assess and mitigate transformation-related risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, cybersecurity requirements, and operational resilience frameworks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and enforce policies that promote risk-aware transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with the bank&rsquo;s overall risk appetite and control mechanisms.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Change Management &amp; Cultural Transformation
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Embed a transformation-driven mindset across all levels of the organization
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop comprehensive change management frameworks to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and operational models.
 </li>
 <li>
 Engage stakeholders including C-suite executives, middle management, and frontline employees
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Strategic Partnerships
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, technology partners, regulatory bodies, and external consultants to ensure seamless transformation execution.
 </li>
 <li>
 Negotiate and manage vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with the bank&rsquo;s technology strategy and transformation goals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Represent the bank in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and innovation networks to stay ahead of evolving market trends and best practices.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 For this position, we are specifically looking for candidates with:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Proven transformation leadership within GCC banks
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in mid to large size banking institutions
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong banking domain expertise across multiple functions (operations, digital, risk, technology, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated leadership of large-scale enterprise transformation programs
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on delivery experience, not purely PMO or governance roles
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong stakeholder engagement experience with executive leadership in banking environments
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor degree in the field of business administration, management, or engineering
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of 10 years&rsquo; experience in Financial services/ banking domain &amp; 5 years in transformation
 </li>
