Job Duties
<ul><li>Evaluate, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems</li><li>
Perform maintenance and repairs on all aspects of the facility building as directed</li><li>
Receive and respond to resident and family reports of mechanical or maintenance issues</li><li>
Communicate with the supervisor about any work that requires outside expert assistance</li><li>
Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke, and other safety systems pursuant to applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations as well as the facility&rsquo;s policies and procedures</li><li>
Fix potential safety hazards in a timely manner</li><li>
Provide support to Housekeeping and Laundry Departments as directed</li><li>
Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors</li><li>
Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed</li><li>
Report all resident, staff, or other concerns to the appropriate department head</li><li>
Report all incidents, accidents, unsafe situations, and concerns immediately</li><li>
Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations relating to responsibilities</li><li>
Ensure that responsibilities are performed consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations as well as facility policies and procedures</li></ul>

Required Education and Experience
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>
Ability to use tools and equipment necessary to complete projects</li><li>
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC, and carpentry</li><li>
Previous experience as an electrician, plumber, carpenter, or handyman preferred</li></ul></div>
