The Practice Coordinator will provide direct support to lawyers in our Projects practice group by performing administrative and legal work. The ideal candidate is an ambitious, self-motivated individual with an interest in the legal profession.</div><div></div><div>
This position will require presence in our Houston office at least three days per week pursuant to the firm&rsquo;s hybrid work policy. Overtime and flexibility in schedule is required from time to time.</div><div></div><div>
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:</div><ul><li>
Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of practice area legal documents, e.g. correspondence, agreements, spreadsheets and presentations</li><li>
Organize, maintain, and track documents on a client extranet site or other databases</li><li>
Actively track deadlines and status of matters, and provide regular updates to attorneys</li><li>
Maintain calendars to include coordination and scheduling of meetings, conference calls and WebEx, send calendar invites and reminders, reserve conference rooms on-site in firm reservation system and for off-site venues</li><li>
Review and edit pre-bills for submission to billing department and research/identify outstanding invoices and payments</li><li>
Interact and follow-up with clients, outside counsel and others, as requested</li><li>
Manage physical and electronic files (iManage)</li><li>
Assist with attorney time entry and client billing, as needed</li><li>
Process business expense reimbursements and vendor payments</li><li>
Coordinate logistics for internal and external team events and meetings</li><li>
Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements with firm&rsquo;s travel provider</li><li>
Complete client/matter intake request forms and work directly with the attorney and compliance department on new or existing business</li><li>
Maintain and update contact lists, create labels and coordinate mailings as directed by timekeepers</li><li>
Assist other practice group support members with overflow work and provide backup support, as requested</li><li>
Assist other practice groups upon request with special projects</li></ul><div></div><div>

Qualifications and experience:</div><ul><li>
Minimum of 3 years&rsquo; experience performing basic office and clerical duties in a law firm or professional service organization; law firm experience preferred</li><li>
Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred; high school diploma is required</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat</li><li>
Experience with document management system, iManage preferred</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills</li><li>
Impeccable attention to detail</li><li>
Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team</li><li>
Strong work ethic and positive attitude, with flexibility to work overtime as needed</li><li>
Exercises confidentiality and discretion in a professional and trustworthy manner</li><li>
