They know that VENU has the skill and capability to deliver world-class experiences with an unmatched level of quality and professionalism.Who You Are: VENU is seeking a dynamic, sales-driven Director of Event Sales to lead and oversee the full event lifecycle within our upscale restaurant and event hall space. This role combines high-level event planning and execution with a strong emphasis on event sales and revenue growth. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on operator, capable of building relationships, closing deals, and delivering exceptional guest experiences from concept to completion.What You Are Accountable For:Event Sales &amp; Business Development&middot; Proactively generate new event business through networking, outreach, and relationship-building with corporate clients, wedding planners, local organizations, and community partners.<ul><li>Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.</li><li>Respond promptly to inquiries, provide customized proposals, and close contracts efficiently.</li><li>Conduct tours of the venue, highlighting its unique features and services to potential clients.</li><li>Collaborate with marketing to create and promote event packages, seasonal campaigns, and promotional events.</li></ul>Client Relations &amp; Account Management<ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all booked events, ensuring a smooth client experience from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.</li><li>Build and maintain long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.</li><li>Manage event leads, contracts, deposits, and communication using CRM or booking systems.</li></ul>Event Planning &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Work closely with clients to plan all event elements, including layout, d&eacute;cor, timelines, food &amp; beverage, and technical needs.</li><li>Coordinate with internal departments (culinary, bar, service, facilities) to align on expectations and logistics.</li><li>Source and manage outside vendors when necessary.</li></ul>Event Execution &amp; On-Site Management<ul><li>Oversee the execution of all events, ensuring they run smoothly, on time, and within budget.</li><li>Manage day-of logistics, staff coordination, and client satisfaction.</li><li>Quickly resolve any issues or last-minute changes with professionalism and discretion</li></ul>Team &amp; Operational Leadership<ul><li>Lead and train the event team, including coordinators, servers, and event support staff.</li><li>Maintain an event calendar, staffing schedule, and checklist to ensure consistent execution quality.</li><li>Collaborate with the General Manager on forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:&middot; 5+ years of experience in event sales and management, preferably in a restaurant, catering, or event venue environment.&middot; Proven track record of exceeding event sales goals and driving revenue growth.&middot; Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.&middot; Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities in high-pressure settings.&middot; Proficiency with event sales tools and CRM systems (e.g., Tripleseat, Hubspot).&middot; Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Preferred Qualifications:&middot; Existing client base or network in weddings, corporate, or social event markets.&middot; Knowledge of food &amp; beverage trends, banquet operations, and AV/event technology.&middot; Experience in hospitality marketing or sales enablement.Physical Requirements: &middot; Must be at least 21 years of age.&middot; Must be available to work nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs&middot; Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
