Part Time Nanny/ Mother's Helper

Position OverviewHousehold Manager / Family Assistant Role- Mclean, VAWe are looking for an experienced (5+ years) Household Manager to be the right hand to support a busy, high profile family. This role is in person, in our client's home.The right person for the job shall be capable of wearing many hats and provide support to the executive both personally and professionally. Must be discreet and have a &ldquo;can do&rdquo; attitude. The ideal candidate is a competent multi-tasker with the ability and willingness to handle all home and family projects tactfully and precisely.Hours:Guaranteed 25 hours per week, 11am - 3pm. Monday- Friday. These hours can &quot;float&quot; as needed to accommodate varying daily schedules, appointments, etc.Weekends &amp; on call as needed.Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage and Maintain schedules/ calendars and travel for one (1) Executive &amp; three (3) school-aged children</li><li>Confirm appointments and locations for household members</li><li>Schedule and pay contractors for household needs</li><li>Coordinate with vendors to ensure that all supplies needed for renovations/ events are delivered on time</li><li>Oversee vendors and contractors at the home site at all times, step in to assist them when needed</li><li>Maintain financial records and budgets of the householder</li><li>Utilize Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, etc to organize daily, weekly, monthly tasks and keep Executive up to date on project timelines and completion</li><li>Utilize and maintain Household Guide for everyday running of estate</li><li>Plan and schedule medical appointments</li><li>Plan and schedule vet appointments for dog (1 Beagle), manage dog walker's schedule/ payments</li><li>Maintain all home inventory fully stocked and up to date, i.e (office supplies, household materials, groceries, etc.)</li><li>Manage estate home and surrounding land (pool, landscapers, irrigation, internet, home technology, etc.)</li><li>Correspond and communicate (telephone speaking and email written communication skills must be exceptional)</li><li>Coordinate deliveries and shipping</li><li>Drop/ Pick up off dry cleaning</li><li>Run personal errands</li><li>Drive executive, children, and or dog to appointments/ events/ activities when needed</li><li>Collaborate with other household staff (housekeeper, nanny) to ensure smooth running of household and fulfillment of family needs</li><li>Schedule and keep vehicle maintenance/ cleaning, etc current and up to date as needed</li><li>Coordinate accordingly- be prepared to take care of generally anything related to the household and family you&rsquo;re managing.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous experience supporting busy, travelling, high-profile individuals</li><li>Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, loyalty, and security measures regarding all confidential matters</li><li>Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li><li>Proficient in Apple/Mac, PC (MS Office Programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), scheduling software</li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Have a reliable vehicle with a valid driver&rsquo;s license and a good driving record</li><li>Have excellent references from past employers</li><li>Must undergo a personal background check</li></ul>Candidate must be flexible with their schedule and be comfortable handling last-minute requests depending on the day, and sometimes weekends.Experience:<ul><li>Personal Assistant/ Household Management: 5 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)</li></ul>Rate: $35-$40/ hourPay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>How many years have you worked as a Household Manager supporting a busy or high-profile individual or family?
