 We are hiring a Senior Database Engineer, on site in Muscat, to own the databases a national platform runs on, from transactional core to AI vector stores.
 
 
 What you'll do: Operate the platform's polyglot databases at national scale, fast, resilient, recoverable, and infused with AI/ML/DL/RL
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 Operate enterprise PostgreSQL as the primary transactional database across the platform, and tune it for performance under national load
 
 Design and run high availability, replication, and failover, with backup, recovery, and tested point in time restore
 
 Operate the vector databases behind the platform's AI: Milvus for large scale retrieval and RAG, and pgvector for vectors co-located in PostgreSQL
 
 Operate the graph database (Neo4j) for case correlation and entity relationships, and the search engine (Elasticsearch) for hybrid and full text search
 
 Run the specialized PostgreSQL workloads in production: geospatial (PostGIS), time series (TimescaleDB), and document (JSONB)
 
 Operate the in-memory distributed cache, a secondary enterprise relational store for select product catalogs, and the search-side vector retrieval
 
 Manage S3 compatible object storage and immutable, long retention archival, and plan capacity across the whole estate
 
 Run upgrades and patching with no surprise downtime, harden every store with encryption and access control, and automate database operations as code
 
 
 What makes you a fit:
 
 You have operated production databases at scale, and carried the pager for them
 
 You are a deep PostgreSQL engineer: replication, high availability, backup and recovery, and performance tuning
 
 You have run at least one vector database in production, such as Milvus or pgvector, for AI or RAG workloads
 
 You have operated a graph database such as Neo4j, or a search engine such as Elasticsearch, or you can clearly pick them up
 
 You are comfortable across a polyglot estate, relational, vector, graph, search, time series, and cache, and you pick the right store per workload
 
 You are at home on premises and sovereign, where there is no managed cloud database to lean on
 
 You hold a Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent depth
 
 You automate operations, take security and recoverability seriously, and you test your backups
 
 Bonus points for very large datasets, AI data infrastructure, or government and regulated environments
 
 Fluent English required; Arabic is a valuable advantage

 We are hiring a Senior Data Architect, on site in Muscat, to own the data backbone the entire platform depends on.
 
 
 
 
 
 What you'll do: Own the data end to end, from how it's modeled to how AI consumes it.
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:

 Own the enterprise data architecture: conceptual, logical, and physical data models across the platform
 </li>
 <li>
 Design multitenant data isolation, data residency, and classification aligned to data protection law and regulatory frameworks
 </li>
 <li>
 Architect the polyglot persistence strategy across relational, graph, vector, document, time series, geospatial, and object stores
 </li>
 <li>
 Design the analytics and lakehouse layer that feeds business intelligence and AI workloads
 </li>
 <li>
 Define streaming and batch data movement: change data capture, event streaming, and ETL and ELT
 </li>
 <li>
 Operationalize data governance: cataloging, lineage, quality, master data, retention, and automated right to erasure
 </li>
 <li>
 Define data security controls with security leadership, including encryption, masking, and activity monitoring
 </li>
 <li>
 Author data standards and reference patterns, and mentor data engineers across teams
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 What makes you a fit:

 You have built scalable, high integrity data systems, and the architecture held when it mattered
 </li>
 <li>
 You model across paradigms without blinking: relational, dimensional, Data Vault, graph, and document
 </li>
 <li>
 You command SQL, performance tuning, partitioning, replication, and high availability
 </li>
 <li>
 You go deep on governance, lineage, classification, quality, master data, and retention, and you turn regulation into design that actually enforces it
 </li>
 <li>
 You are fluent across ETL and ELT, change data capture, event streaming, and lakehouse architectures
 </li>
 <li>
 You have isolated tenants at scale and understand the vector and RAG layers behind AI
 </li>
 <li>
 You hold a Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; TOGAF or data platform certifications are a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Sovereign or on premises experience is valued; public cloud only backgrounds transfer less directly
 </li>
 <li>
 Bonus points for government or large enterprise data estates
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluent English required; Arabic is a valuable advantage
 </li>
