Role OverviewWe are seeking a Denodo Architect to design and implement the data virtualization and semantic access layer as part of our on-premise Data Lakehouse (DLH) program. The architect will play a critical role in integrating Denodo with Cloudera (HDFS, Spark, Kafka), Teradata, Informatica, and multiple source banking systems, enabling unified access, performance optimization, and governance across the medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture &amp; DesignDefine Denodo architecture for data virtualization, caching, security, and query optimization across heterogeneous sources.Enable semantic layer &amp; data abstraction to support Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture.Design high-performance data federation strategies with Cloudera (HDFS, Hive, Impala), Teradata, and real-time Kafka streams.Integration &amp; MigrationWork with Informatica teams to expose curated Silver-layer datasets via Denodo for downstream consumption.Ensure smooth coexistence between legacy systems and new lakehouse through virtualization during migration.Design APIs &amp; services for consuming Gold-layer data products through Denodo.Performance &amp; SecurityImplement caching, query acceleration, and workload management strategies.Define row-level and column-level security, masking, and role-based access controls aligned with bank ISM requirements.Monitor and tune Denodo queries for low latency and high concurrency workloads.Collaboration &amp; GovernancePartner with Cloudera, Teradata, and Informatica architects to align virtualization strategy.Work with Data Governance team to enforce data lineage, metadata, and catalog integration.Provide guidance to ETL, BI, and reporting teams (Power BI, downstream analytics) on Denodo consumption best practices.Required Skills &amp; Experience:10+ years of data architecture experience, with 5+ years in Denodo (v8.x or above preferred).Strong expertise in data virtualization, federation, caching, and query optimization.Hands-on experience integrating Denodo with:<ul><li>Cloudera (Hive, Impala, HDFS, Kafka, Spark)</li><li>Teradata</li><li>Informatica (ETL pipelines, curated data sets)</li><li>Oracle GoldenGate / CDC streams</li><li>Knowledge of banking source systems and data domains (LOS, CLOS, Payments, Trade, Murex, Swift, etc.) is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with data governance, security (LDAP/AD, Kerberos, SSL, OAuth, masking), and compliance.</li><li>Experience in API design, REST/SOAP services, and BI integration (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy).</li></ul>Nice to Have:<ul><li>Experience with Medallion architecture implementations in hybrid/on-prem ecosystems.</li><li>Exposure to data lakehouse migration programs with co-existence strategies.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Contract Contract length: 6 monthsPay: &#65020;63.00 - &#65020;100.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per week
