****Previous orthopedic experience preferred****JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Make a professional, courteous first impression on patients new to the medical office by registering, aiding, and assisting with any problems involved in the registration process.<ul><li>Organizing patient flow based on doctor&rsquo;s needs</li><li>Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room</li><li>Assisting patients as needed with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens &amp; preparing for exam, etc.</li><li>Collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines and assisting Physicians/PA's with various procedures</li><li>Enter all MIPs information/Scribe into EMR for all patients on daily basis</li><li>Pull injections and DME</li><li>Relaying instructions to patients/families</li><li>Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned that may include setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocols</li><li>Cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program</li><li>Keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms</li><li>Position requires coverage for other locations on an as needed basis</li><li>FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE DESIRED; hours vary</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>EDUCATION:High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) AND Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution. Appropriate certificate indicating passing grade for specific specialty if working in specialty department; e.g., pediatric medical assistant exam.QUALIFICATIONS:****MA CERTIFIED PREFERRED*****General knowledge of office procedures and computer systems.*Excellent interpersonal skills.*Ability to handle high stress, busy work environment.*Knowledge of Word, Excel &amp; Outlook Required.*Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes preferred.*Previous Ortho experience a plus.*Knowledge of athenaHealth a plus.*Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone skills.*Ability to interact with patients, other staff including physicians and PAs.*Previous medical office experience a plus.*Please only apply if you can work early mornings/Flexible scheduleHours:6:30a-4p, 9a-6p, 8a-5p, 7a-5p&mdash;changes depending on schedule/day of week.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
