The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Safety &amp; Site Support, is seeking a Project Manager within the Office of Construction Safety (OCS). The selected candidate will report to the Deputy Director and be responsible for various aspects of construction safety programs, including support for DDC Infrastructure, Public Buildings, and Alternative Delivery capital construction projects. Responsibilities include conducting contractor safety performance evaluations and performing technical tasks related to construction capital project management and delivery. The candidate will conduct regular field audits to monitor and verify the remediation of safety findings, ensure compliance with Site Safety Plans and applicable safety standards, communicate findings and recommendations to project staff and contractors. Additional duties include preparing safety progress reports, coordinating with other divisions and agencies, monitoring and reporting key performance indicators with a focus on continuous improvement, and routinely preparing and maintaining status reports for capital and MMR projects for Senior Management. This position plays a critical role in strengthening regulatory compliance and supporting the timely and successful delivery of capital construction projects.<br>

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - 34202</p><p><b><br>
Minimum Qualifications</b></p><p><br>
1. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State&rsquo;s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization, and five years of full-time satisfactory experience managing and/or inspecting one or more construction projects which must have a total cost of at least $300,000 for each of the five years of the required experience; or
<br>
2. One year of the experience as described in &ldquo;1&rdquo; above and a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, accredited by regional, national, professional or specialized agencies recognized as accrediting bodies by the U. S. Secretary of Education and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, architectural technology, landscape architecture, construction, construction technology, or construction management; or
<br>
3. One year of the experience as described in &ldquo;1&rdquo; above and a valid license as a professional engineer, registered architect, or registered landscape architect, issued by a board of examining engineers, architects, or landscape architects duly established and qualified pursuant to the laws of any state or territory of the United States; or
<br>
4. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization, and a combination of at least two years of experience as described in &ldquo;1&rdquo; above and the education as described in &ldquo;2&rdquo; above to equal a total of five years of education and experience. Matriculation in an undergraduate college degree program as described in &ldquo;2&rdquo; above may be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 semester credits for one year of satisfactory full-time experience up to a maximum of three years of experience.

<br>
Note: Candidates must specify for each construction project they worked on: a description of the construction project, the time period they worked on the construction project, and the type of work they performed. Candidates must also specify the money allotted for the project.
<br>

Driver License Requirement: At the time of appointment to this position, you must have a motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York. If you have moving violations, license suspension or an accident record, you may be disqualified. This license must be maintained for the duration of your employment.

5. For Assignment to Level II, In addition to meeting the &quot;Qualification Requirements&quot; above, candidates must have one additional year of satisfactory full-time experience working in Assignment Level I; or one additional year of satisfactory full-time experience as described in &quot;1&quot; above.

For Assignment to Level III, in addition to meeting the Qualification Requirements for Construction Project Manager, candidates must have two additional years of satisfactory full-time experience working in Construction Project Manager Assignment Level I and II; or two additional years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in question &quot;1&quot; above and possess a motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York which must be maintained for the duration of employment noting that if you have moving violations, license suspension or an accident record, you may be disqualified.</p><p><b><br>
Preferred Skills</b></p><br>
Prior experience with construction safety and data management. Candidate should possess the ability to work collaboratively with others and perform detailed work under time sensitive deadlines. Strong analytical, verbal, written, and computer skills are preferred.<br>

The Department of Design &amp; Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking an Office Engineer to join our Construction Management 5 &ndash; Brooklyn &ndash; Section 1.<br>
<br>
The successful candidate will report to a Deputy Director and perform various functions necessary to assist in the administration of active or substantially completed contracts. This includes preparing memorandums, letters, as-built assessments, and other project records; preparing overruns, change orders, time extensions, project reports, meeting minutes, and payments; tracking all required submittals and approvals, and completing all required project closeout tasks and documents including archiving records. The successful candidate will also be responsible for adding, archiving, maintaining, and organizing all Boro digital J-Drive files and folders, including all EICs&rsquo;, and field offices&rsquo; generated project files.<br>
<br>
The Office Engineer will also assist the Assistant Commissioner, Borough Director, and Deputy Directors in creating and/or updating any required digital or paper documents requiring collection of data, or compiling of records for various purposes, and also to assist by entering and updating projects in the DOT permit tracking system; maintaining borough staffing and equipment assignment and other reports; such as the Weekly Night and Weekend Work list, and the Monthly CB Modernization Sheet, MWBE Utilization Data, MMR Quantity Report, EIC Project Assignment Charts, and Project Site Lists, etc. Must also prepare the Semi-Annual PowerPoint presentations, maintain water main shutdown logs and perform record searches and prepare responses to FOILs, claims, and lawsuits as requested by our Law unit, the Comptroller&rsquo;s or the Department&rsquo;s General Counsel&rsquo;s office.<br>

ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER - 22427</p><p><b><br>
Minimum Qualifications</b></p><p><br>
One year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, on engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects, or supervising a construction project with a value of $1,000,000 or more, and either:

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or<br>
<br>
2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in &quot;1&quot; above; or<br>
<br>
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of college or university education and/or experience described in &quot;1&quot; above to make up the equivalent of five years of education and experience. One year of experience credit will be given for: (a) each 30 semester credits of college or university education leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration; (b) a Master&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the disciplines described in &quot;1&quot; above; (c) a Juris Doctor degree, or (d) a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Registered Landscape Architect. Where experience which is primarily of a design nature is not acceptable towards meeting the qualification requirements.<br>

In addition to meeting the qualification requirements for Assignment Level I, candidates must have at least one additional year of experience as described in &quot;1&quot; above in a supervisory capacity or have served for at least one year as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project.<br>
