Our goal is to expand opportunities for anyone to imagine, design, and make a better world.Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to lead the migration of a large-scale ASP.NET C# 4.0 Web Forms application into a modern ASP.NET Core MVC architecture. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in legacy .NET Framework applications, deep knowledge of modern .NET Core, and experience in designing scalable, maintainable, and secure enterprise applications with a modern user interface.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Analyze the existing ASP.NET Web Forms application (C# 4.0) to understand functionality, dependencies, and architecture.</li><li>Plan and execute the migration strategy from Web Forms to ASP.NET Core MVC.</li><li>Redesign application components following modern software design patterns (MVC, Repository, Dependency Injection, etc.).</li><li>Migrate data access layer from ADO.NET/legacy ORM to Entity Framework Core or another modern ORM.</li><li>Modernize the UI/UX using Razor Pages, Blazor, or integration with front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) as required.</li><li>Ensure cross-platform compatibility and deployment readiness on Windows/Linux cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or on-premises).</li><li>Optimize application performance, security, and scalability during migration.</li><li>Write unit tests, integration tests, and automated deployment scripts to ensure code quality.</li><li>Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and design teams to deliver a seamless migration.</li><li>Provide documentation and training to internal teams for post-migration maintenance.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>3+ years of experience in .NET development.</li><li>Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Web Forms (4.0/4.5), and legacy .NET Framework applications.</li><li>Proven experience in ASP.NET Core (5/6/7/8) MVC and related technologies.</li><li>Proficiency with Entity Framework Core, LINQ, SQL Server, and database migration strategies.</li><li>Experience with front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, jQuery, React, Angular, or Vue) for modern UI design.</li><li>Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, Web API migration, and microservices architecture.</li><li>Knowledge of dependency injection, middleware, logging, and configuration management in ASP.NET Core.</li><li>Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.</li><li>Strong understanding of application security best practices (OWASP, identity management, OAuth, JWT, etc.).</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.</li></ul>Nice-to-Have Skills:<ul><li>Experience in Blazor or MAUI for modernizing UI further.</li><li>Knowledge of cloud-native application design (Azure/AWS).</li><li>Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).</li><li>Prior experience in application modernization projects.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
