Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Safely load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks within specified timelines.</li>
<li>Responsible for noting and recording exception in count or condition of shipments to minimize cargo claims.</li>
<li>Management of paperwork: i.e., check of accuracy and completion of delivery receipts, bills of lading, trailer manifests, counting freight, accuracy of hazardous material shipments, special loading, and handling instructions.</li>
<li>Responsible for regrouping shipments as needed.</li>
<li>Ability to meet the Company's reliability standard for employees.</li>
<li>Availability to work various shifts during the week to accommodate business needs.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 18 years old.</li>
<li>Basic English language proficiency (reading, writing and verbal) is required.</li>
<li>Simple arithmetic, weight and/or measuring is required.</li>
<li>A High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent is strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Hosteling experience preferred.</li>
<li>Previous warehouse or like experience strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Forklift experience is strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Experience using tools, machines, and special equipment: hand truck, four-wheel dock cart, pallet jack, barrel truck, dock plates, load locks and/or rope is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in an LTL operation preferred.</li>

 The Dispatcher’s role is to provide the highest level of front-line customer service to Oak Harbor Freight Lines internal and external customers. Provide trouble tracking, order and problem resolution to our customers.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Answer internal and external calls in a professional and courteous manner.</li>
<li>Trace freight and use troubleshooting skills to track down location of freight that is lost, late, misdirected, etc.</li>
<li>Complete dispatch pick-up calls communicating directly with customers to schedule and arrange for freight arrival according to customer requirements.</li>
<li>Communicate with OHFL operations and Driver’s to move freight and troubleshoot freight delays or exceptions.</li>
<li>Using OHFL systems to enter data and track Drivers and shipments and use information to answer questions and resolve problems as they arise.</li>
<li>General office duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Experience, Skills and Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>1-2 years of experience in a Dispatch role.</li>
<li>Ability to work with challenging or difficult situations and resolve issues successfully.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.</li>
<li>Strong PC proficiency and experience using MS Office products. AS400 experience preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize multiple priorities and projects simultaneously</li>
<li>H.S. diploma or GED/equivalent.</li>

We are looking for an organized and ambitious individual to join our Human Resources Team at our corporate office in Auburn, WA.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is seeking to grow their knowledge and experience in the human resources and payroll fields. The HR Coordinator position provides key support for all employees and all terminal locations as the initial point of contact for the human resources team. The coordinator escalates issues to and receives tasks from the HR Generalist II team as appropriate.
 
Summary of Duties
 <ul>
<li>Supports employees and managers in all locations, multi-state</li>
<li>Processes new hire applications and onboarding paperwork for all hourly new hires and rehires</li>
<li>Process all inquiries for Verification of Employment</li>
<li>Create and maintain all driver DOT files</li>
<li>Provides support for HRIS users</li>
<li>Performs annual Motor Vehicle Record & annual Clearinghouse Limited Queries processes</li>
<li>Issues and tracks random drug screen notices</li>
<li>Performs various tasks supporting benefits transactions for new hires, terminations and qualifying event changes</li>
<li>Tracks training expirations and reminders</li>
<li>E Filing in employee records</li>
<li>Assist &/or back up some duties of HR Generalist II position, as needed, with the goal of taking on duties as a growth and development opportunity</li>
<li>Cross train with PR Specialist I, as a growth and development opportunity</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
 
Required: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum of one year in a human resources support position</li>
<li>Experience working with personal identifiable information and maintaining confidentiality</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Consistent and prompt follow up</li>
<li>Excellent customer service with strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Self-motivation, able to set priorities and adjust according to ongoing work demands</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications including Excel, Word, & Outlook is required</li>
</ul>
Preferred: 
<ul>
<li>DOT and/or Transportation experience is preferred</li>
</ul>
