Position Summary:

As a key member of the management team, the <b>Director of Field Finance </b>will report to the Senior Regional Director of Finance. In this role, the Field Finance Director will be an advisor to and collaborator with the Senior Regional Director of Finance to provide information, analysis, and insights/recommendations with respect to corporate strategy, as well as financial and accounting matters. They will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the facilities' organization. The successful candidate is someone with intrinsic motivation, someone who is energized by the challenges of driving the brand positioning and the customer relationship from a financial perspective and, as a result, maximizes the equity value of the organization. The Field Director of Finance must be detail-oriented and have a passion for rolling up his/her sleeves. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Serve as interim Director of Finance at venues that have open finance positions. Specific responsibilities will include:</li><li>
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Prepares statements for the Client and Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, Annual Budget and Annual Report.</li><li>
Collaborate with on-site venue finance teams and General Managers to ensure industry best practices are in place at all managed facilities</li><li>
Partner with venue finance teams and General Managers in review and approval of the venue budget in advance of presentation to clients</li><li>
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings</li><li>
Assist with projecting event deals, actual event P&amp;Ls, analysis, and &quot;settlement&quot; of shows on the night of events</li><li>
Oversee payroll process for accuracy and timeliness of paychecks</li><li>
Oversee box office, ticket sale receipts, and reporting</li><li>
Oversee food and beverage accounting</li><li>
Prepare appropriate state and local tax returns to be filed timely</li><li>
Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records</li><li>
Be subject matter experts on accounting systems and processes</li><li>
Lead training of finance employees</li><li>
Oversee the onboarding of the finance function of new business opportunities</li><li>
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>BS Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.</li><li>
5-7+ years of progressive work experience in accounting &amp; finance.</li><li>
Prior experience in sports, entertainment, and facility management.</li><li>
Prior regional oversight of multiple venues preferred.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience as a &ldquo;hands-on&rdquo; finance professional.</li><li>
Strong understanding of accounting standards and practices.</li><li>
Experience managing back-office capabilities (A/P, A/R, and payroll) is ideal but not required.</li><li>
Solid operations focus with a diverse skill set in financial planning and analysis preferred.</li><li>
Detail-oriented with exceptional planning and organizational skills.</li><li>
Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Perform all general accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.</li><li>
Supervise, direct, and develop the Administrative Assistant.</li><li>
Prepare balance sheet reconciliation.</li><li>
Oversee Box Office cash handling procedures and verify bank statements against daily deposits.</li><li>
Prepare bi-weekly payroll for all salaried and hourly employees; coordinate human resource functions/policies.</li><li>
Perform account and bank reconciliations.</li><li>
Prepare event settlements and generate account transfers or check payments.</li><li>
Prepare monthly financial statements.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or better from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, public or business administration, or a related field required; CPA preferred.</li><li>
3-5 years of Arena/Hotel/Convention Center accounting experience required.</li><li>
May require working beyond normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.</li><li>
Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.</li><li>
Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.</li><li>
Knowledge of NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred.</li><li>
Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.</li></ul>

Essential Duties:
</b></div><ul><li>Assist Culinary with plating food for individual plated functions as needed.</li><li>
Assist Culinary staff with any immediate needs within the kitchens.</li><li>
Break down all food items from banquet functions and prepare soiled equipment to be washed.</li><li>
Discard food debris in proper composting bins and discard recyclable materials in proper recycling bins.</li><li>
Gather and use proper sanitizing solutions generated by the ELT machine.</li><li>
Clean and sanitize entire kitchen areas, including storage areas, hallways, and elevators.</li><li>
Clean and sanitize kitchen coolers and discard outdated items.</li><li>
Clean and sanitize all small wares after banquet functions.</li><li>
Fill out dish machine logs.</li><li>
Properly dispense, store, and use chemicals.</li><li>
Clean and sanitize kitchen, restrooms, and locker rooms as needed.</li><li>
Maintain garbage and empty as needed.</li><li>
Keep kitchens organized and put clean equipment away.</li><li>
Clean food and beverage back-of-house areas.</li><li>
Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.</li><li>
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are issued.</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.</li></ul><div><b>
For Plated Functions Utility Stewards shall:</b></div><ul><li>
Break down waiter trays as they are brought back.</li><li>
Dump glasses and rack.</li><li>
Empty all water pitchers, goosenecks, coffee pots, etc., and return to rack.</li></ul>
