Position Summary:

About the Venue:
<p>
The<b> Donald L. Tucker Civic Center</b> features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space and an arena view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men&rsquo;s and Women&rsquo;s basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena also is frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes.</p>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Supports event day activities including but not limited to: pre-event or on-site promotions, meet and greets and media.</li><li>
Prepare written letter of agreements including negotiated terms.</li><li>
Assist the Director of Marketing with developing, maintaining and coordinating event and facility advertising programs, collateral material and opportunities.</li><li>
Assist Director of Marketing in preparation of monthly corporate marketing reports and participate in monthly conference calls with other Oak View Group entities.</li><li>
Prepare various reports on public relations progress, marketing efforts/results, ticketing analysis, demographics and economic trends, including event recaps.</li><li>
Assist the sales department in designing sales presentations and promotional content in support of sales initiatives.</li><li>
Manage day-to-day digital marketing program, including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, Google Analytics, etc.</li><li>
Coordinate marketing efforts between promoters, artist management and local media.</li><li>
Assist with pitching stories, writing press releases, creating public relations events, and implementing media drops.</li><li>
Manage all grassroots efforts including poster &amp; flyer distribution, community appearances and overall expansion of marketing campaigns to maximize event awareness and exposure.</li><li>
Generate new and creative ideas to attract new events/self-created events and to promote events when booked, including social media and food &amp; beverage promotions.</li><li>
Update website, marquee and in-arena digital display systems.</li><li>
Manage database and email campaigns.</li><li>
Develop new marketing programs and initiatives to maximize ticket sales, such as third-party partnerships, and new media avenues.</li><li>
Recruit and assist managing student interns and/or part-time marketing staff and their assignments.</li><li>
Participate in developing and implementing event marketing plans and promotions.</li><li>
Perform graphic design using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect and Premiere.</li><li>
Actively participate in and foster relationships with venue, community, and corporate groups to stay engaged with local events and promote collaboration opportunities.</li><li>
Interact with other Tucker Center departments when working on various projects.</li><li>
Perform all other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, public relations, communications, hospitality/sports management, business, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>
Basic knowledge &amp; interest in marketing and advertising functions.</li><li>
Intermediate to strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.</li><li>
Basic understanding of branding concepts.</li><li>
Intermediate knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.).</li><li>
Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.</li><li>
One or more years of previous event or entertainment marketing experience preferred.</li><li>
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in the English language.</li><li>
Well organized with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments.</li><li>
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and all event days as assigned.</li><li>

Under general supervision by the Maintenance Manager, <b>Maintenance Technicians</b> perform general facility maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that the facility remains in presentable and operable condition. Tasks include ensuring proper working condition of HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, and occasional groundskeeping and general trades tasks. In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technicians will receive instruction from the Director of Operations.</div><div></div><div><br>

Greater Richmond Convention Center</b> is the largest exposition and meeting facility in Virginia with 178,158 sq. ft. of contiguous exhibit space, a 20,500 sq/ ft. grand ballroom and 50,000 sq. ft. of additional meeting space located in the capital city of Richmond.</div>
Responsibilities:

JOB DUTIES:</b></div><ul><li>
Perform preventative maintenance and regular maintenance on a wide range of facility systems including, but not limited to, pumps, motors, filtering devices, air conditioning and heating equipment and other mechanical devices which requires the ability to grasp, hold, bend and twist a wide range of tools, equipment and materials.</li><li>
Respond to emergency requests for repair services, diagnoses problems and either immediately makes repairs or calls on a supervisor for additional assistance or direction.</li><li>
Operate a wide variety of equipment used in the maintenance of the facility such as saws, drills, torches, sanders, cutters, grinders and other maintenance equipment.</li><li>
Drive vans, pick-up trucks, forklifts, high-lifts, floor scrubbers, and other vehicles as required.</li><li>
Perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting masonry, welding, carpentry and other trades related tasks.</li><li>
Monitor thermostats and interior space controls on a regular basis and makes necessary adjustments.</li><li>
Recommend repairs needed on equipment and facility structures.</li><li>
Obtain approval for, orders and picks up parts and supplies.</li><li>
Maintain storage areas and equipment in designated areas in a neat and orderly manner.</li><li>
Maintain repair log, inventory record and replacement schedule for facility equipment and supplies.</li><li>

Qualifications:

Experience:</b></div><ul><li>
Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>
Minimum of two (2) years experience in general facility maintenance, construction or a related field.</li><li>
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC equipment is preferred.</li></ul><div><b>
Education / Training:</b></div><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent GED with additional specialized training in a maintenance or technical-related field.</li><li>
Specialized training in HVAC or related field preferred.</li></ul><div><b>
Licenses or Certificates:</b></div><ul><li>
Possession of, or ability to obtain a current CPR certificate.</li><li>
Possession of, or ability to obtain a Virginia driver&rsquo;s license.</li></ul>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Serves as a key contributor to the growth and profitability of the business, including strategic direction of event related sales and bookings at Rupp Arena, The Lexington Opera House and the Town Branch Park Amphitheatre.

Strategize on all venue deals to increase event traffic at all of the venues</li><li>

Oversee and manage the development of the annual operating calendar, activity schedules, projections for attendance and/or revenue.</li><li>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>5-7+ years&rsquo; experience booking arenas, clubs, theatres and/or stadiums with direct responsibility for supervising/directing staff across a wide-range of functions in a fast-paced environment in sports &amp; entertainment industry. Experience with large crowd management in a stadium or concert setting of a similar size (15,000+ seats) is highly desirable</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business management, hospitality or facilities management or other related field and/or equivalent of work experience in live entertainment
</li><li>Previous experience working with a professional sports team or sports tenant, concerts, trade/consumer shows</li><li>
Prior responsibility and experience for calendar and scheduling for professional sports team and use of booking software</li><li>
Proven relationship and success working with various promoters, agents and managers</li><li>
Possess strong organizational and communication skills, a strategic thinker and planner with a proven track record of success</li><li>
