Position Summary:
<div>
This position will work with the General Manager to market the venue and events while creating and maintaining relationships with media and promotional partners. The <b>Marketing Specialist </b>will assist in graphic design, advertising, interactive media, promotions, public relations and grassroots efforts for events as assigned.</div><div></div><div><br>
This role pays an annual salary of $48,470-$60,588.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

About the Venue:

The <b>Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds</b> is a spacious 45-acre complex that includes various facilities to accommodate a consumer&rsquo;s needs with a variety of venue spaces available. These include the Marvin and Laura Berry Pavilion, two Exhibit Halls, the Conference Center, the Equestrian Center, and the Middletown Meadow.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Develop and resize graphics for clients&rsquo; upcoming events including creating graphics to fit all in-house marketing assets.</li><li>
Strategizing and planning various marketing campaigns, researching market trends to determine consumer needs.</li><li>
Conduct research to analyze competitive landscape, customer behavior and create content for marketing campaigns as needed.</li><li>
Initiate and design venue advertising for employment and facility rentals.</li><li>
Communicating campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines to their team while providing instructions for promotion or use.</li><li>
Maximize upcoming events&rsquo; visibility with placing in-house printed signage and signage provided by clients around entire venue in high traffic areas.</li><li>
Author and distribute press releases as needed. Press release list to be maintained and up to date with media contact list and professional relationships.</li><li>
Planning and managing marketing efforts for trade shows, conferences, events and meetings.</li><li>
Maintaining inventory and directory of marketing materials while coordinating new material creation as needed.</li><li>
Regularly review progress of public relations and marketing efforts through website and social media analytics.</li><li>
Maintain media representative contact information and relationships.</li><li>
Manage and participate in the development and implementation of marketing goals, objectives, policies, and priorities.</li><li>
Design and distribute weekly newsletter.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, public relations, communications, business or other related field.</li><li>
Prior experience in Marketing or advertising roles such as Marketing Assistant, SEO Specialist or Social Media Coordinator.</li><li>
Strong skills in graphic design and content writing.</li><li>
Minimum 2-4 years of increasingly responsible experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multi-purpose public assembly facility.</li><li>
Knowledge of marketing and advertising/sponsorship program development.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills for representing organizations during media events, product launches, product demonstrations and trade shows.</li><li>
Project management experience and time-managements skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects.</li><li>
Familiarity with various marketing platforms and channels, including social media, print campaigns, digital marketing and email promotions.</li><li>
Strong analytical skills to evaluate marketing metrics effectively.</li><li>
High degree of creativity and innovation to develop unique, effective marketing strategies.</li><li>
Market research experience and an understanding of how to identify target audiences.</li><li>
Must be experienced with Website maintenance.</li><li>
Experience with computer software programs used for keyword research, A/B testing, database management and content creation: Microsoft office applications and word processing skills required, as well as spreadsheets, database, presentation, graphic design, PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe, Adobe InDesign, Capcut, Tik Tok and internet software.</li><li>
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended numbers of days.</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul>

The <b>Multimedia Design </b><b>Intern </b>at Moody Center will gain hands-on experience working alongside industry professionals in live entertainment, sports, and venue management at one of the nation&rsquo;s premier arenas. The Intern will also contribute to the Creative team&rsquo;s design needs, from concert marketing materials to digital content creation. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Assist in the creation, curation, and execution of high quality digital content, including video, photography, motion graphics, and graphic design, to support Moody Center&rsquo;s marketing and brand initiatives.</li><li>
Work closely with the Video Content Creator to plan, capture, and produce visual assets that highlight Moody Center events, operations, and staff.</li><li>
Edit video and photo content for use across digital platforms, ensuring assets are visually cohesive, brand aligned, and optimized for their intended channels.</li><li>
Support the Creative team with graphic design needs for concert marketing, venue promotions, digital storytelling, and other branded materials.</li><li>
Organize, log, and maintain incoming footage, photos, and creative files to ensure efficient access and archive integrity.</li><li>
Participate in brainstorming and developing creative concepts and digital content strategies aimed at enhancing audience engagement and elevating brand visibility.</li><li>
Work alongside the Marketing and Creative team to understand project needs and support the execution of multimedia content across campaigns and events.</li><li>
Ensure all creative outputs meet Moody Center&rsquo;s brand standards, visual identity, and quality expectations.</li><li>
Assist in developing innovative design and content solutions for both routine and special projects within a fast-paced entertainment environment.</li><li>
Provide additional multimedia, creative, and administrative support as needed to help the team execute exceptional work.</li></ul><div><b>

Execute brand-aligned creative work</b><b>:</b> Consistently produce content that adheres to established brand standards, visual identity guidelines, and marketing objectives for a large-scale entertainment venue.</li><li><b>
Strengthen technical </b><b>proficiency</b><b> in industry-standard tools</b><b>:</b> Enhance skills in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) for editing, design, and motion graphics.</li><li><b>
Translate creative concepts into tangible deliverables</b><b>:</b> Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of creative concepts, transforming ideas into polished visual content.</li><li><b>
Understand the role of multimedia in live entertainment marketing</b><b>:</b> Gain insight into how content supports ticket sales, brand awareness, fan engagement, and event promotion in a major venue environment.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Interns must be currently enrolled as students at an accredited institution, which may include trade schools, community/junior colleges, or undergraduate or graduate programs. pursuing a degree in Film/Video Production, Marketing, Entertainment Design, Multimedia, Videography, or similar field.</li><li>
Applicant must include a resume that includes a link to portfolio showcasing body of work.</li><li>
Experience editing video and photos content using Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.</li><li>
Experience shooting video and photos.</li><li>
Experience using cloud-based drives for storing and organizing media.</li></ul>
