This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the well-being of our community.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.</li><li>Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.</li><li>Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.</li><li>Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.</li><li>Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and wound management to prevent infection.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers, PICU), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospice settings, and outpatient clinics.</li><li>Assist with medical procedures like phlebotomy or basic life support when required; operate medical equipment safely and effectively.</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality.</li><li>Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements.</li><li>Document patient information accurately in medical records and ensure seamless communication across care teams.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in settings such as hospitals (including Level I &amp; II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments.</li><li>Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine is highly valued.</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for documentation purposes.</li><li>Experience with specialized populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health patients, or those requiring memory or dementia care.</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices.</li><li>Prior exposure to post-acute or sub-acute care settings is advantageous.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities or developmental challenges across various healthcare environments.
