This position will be located in our Midland, TX . The Control Room Operator will work in the Central Dispatch Center (CDC) environment to monitor field operations for both Midstream and E&amp;P and work as a team integrating Midstream and E&amp;P Operations.
<div>Roles and Responsibilities:
 
<ul><li>Monitor electronic information and provide feedback and recommendations for diagnostics as well as predictive data.
</li><li>Provide daily reports comprised of total field operations.
</li><li>Coordinate operations activities and emergency responses as needed.
</li><li>Assist in maintaining daily activity logs, operational information and status reports including safety/environmental incident reporting.
</li><li>Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
</li><li>Under limited supervision, assists in monitoring field operations by responding to alarms or to direct guidance from more experienced personnel.
</li><li>Respond appropriately to most routine problems independently.
</li><li>Uses knowledge of how surveillance applications are represented in field operations and dispatches appropriate resources for problem resolution.
</li><li>Evaluates daily production estimates to identify production shortfalls that may be related to equipment problems, leaks or spills, theft or changing well conditions.
</li><li>Utilizes knowledge of local EHS policies as they pertain to specific operations.

<div>Mid-Level Automaton Tech - Has entry level tech skills plus advanced troubleshooting skills and diagnostic skills to explain control logic functionality and solutions to system operational conditions/environments that effect performance. Starts Acquiring entry level integrator skills and uses engineering design documents to commission control systems, validate control loops, confirm functionality of control logic, configure end devices, and test alarms.
 
 
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
 
Responsible for installation, programming, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment.
 
 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
<ul><li>Responsibility of maintaining and repairing a wide array of automation and electrical equipment associated with upstream onshore oil and gas producing operations.
</li><li>Provide on-site automation support for upstream onshore oil and gas producing operations.
</li><li>Serve as technical resource for facility controls systems and field instrumentation including level, pressure, flow, vibration, and other instruments.
</li><li>Ensure maintenance activities are executed in compliance with relevant industry and corporate Process Control standards.
</li><li>Follow PLC programming practices, standards, and MOC procedures.
</li><li>Identify problem areas with instrumentation and control systems to determine strategic improvement opportunities.
</li><li>Leverage CMMS, such as SAP, to facilitate the processes of maintenance operations.
</li></ul> 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:
 
<ul><li>2-year Instrumentation or Automation technology degree with a GPA of 2.5 or higher (or foreign equivalent), or equivalent technical working experience with a good track record of safety.
</li><li>3+ years' experience working as an Automation Specialist.
</li><li>3+ years of Oil Field experience.
</li><li>Advanced knowledge of well RTU designs, programming and troubleshooting.
</li><li>Advanced knowledge of analog and discrete instrumentation, and various serial and ethernet communications protocols.
</li><li>Advanced knowledge of technical standards and guidelines (API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ISA, etc.).
</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of maintaining PLC programs in function block, ladder logic, and structured text.
</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of maintaining local HMI operator interfaces.
</li><li>Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and participate in an on-call rotation. Schedules may vary depending on location.
</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel to unassigned job areas on an as-needed basis.
</li><li>Ability and willingness to work under air (fit test) and work from aerial manlift platform.
</li><li>Works safely around instrumentation and electrical systems.
</li><li>Capable of working responsibly with limited supervision.
</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Windows Operating Systems.
</li></ul> 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
 
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Automation with GPA of 3.0 or higher (or foreign equivalent).
</li><li>7+ years of Oil Field experience.
</li><li>3+ years of upstream oil and gas automation experience.
</li><li>Experience with Allen-Bradley &amp; Rosemount.
</li><li>Able to read and understand Cause &amp; Effects, P&amp;ID&Atilde;&cent;&Acirc;&#65533;&Acirc;&#65533;s, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.
</li><li>Intermediate ability to troubleshoot control networks for well sites, well pads, tank battery, saltwater disposal and compressor stations. (ControlNet, Ethernet I/P, Network Switches, fiber optics, RF communications)
</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with management, technical, and field personnel.
</li><li>Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals.
</li><li>Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results.
