We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our IT Production and Measurement Systems team as an IT Advisor, based in Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Provide support to end users by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Detechtion (or similar chemical treatment software), FlowCal, and associated integrations.
</li><li>Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions supporting Detechtion and FlowCal.
</li><li>Provide support to end users by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to IronSight (or similar water logistics management software).
</li><li>Ensure high system availability and respond to critical issues, including outside standard business hours as needed.
</li><li>Collaborate with vendors to support system enhancements and issue resolution.
</li><li>Develop and maintain batch scripts to support system operations.
</li><li>Design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages for system integrations.
</li><li>Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate processes and manage administrative tasks.
</li><li>Leverage SQL Server and Oracle expertise to support integrations, data management, and business reporting.
</li><li>Proactively identify and implement system and process improvements aligned with Oxy&rsquo;s business objectives, incorporating AI technologies where appropriate.
</li><li>Apply data security best practices across applications and environments.
</li><li>Support audit activities by ensuring compliance with controls, policies, and procedures.
</li><li>Lead and contribute to IT projects through all phases of delivery.
</li><li>Maintain awareness of business needs, technology trends, and emerging risks and opportunities.
</li><li>Participate in monthly meetings and maintain active communication with operations teams.
</li><li>Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge articles, standards, best practices, and procedures.
</li></ul>Required Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a relevant field.
</li><li>Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
</li><li>Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle database development.
</li><li>Proficiency in Python scripting and SSIS package development.
</li><li>Strong expertise in Detechtion (or similar chemical tracking software/processes) and FlowCal.
</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of water trucking dispatching and logistics to support IT applications such as IronSight.
</li><li>Experience in IT project management.
</li><li>Experience designing and supporting IT system infrastructure, including test and production environments; AWS experience preferred.
</li><li>Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
</li><li>Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
</li><li>Demonstrated understanding and practical application of AI concepts and tools.
</li></ul>Desired Qualifications:
<ul><li>AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
</li><li>Experience with Crystal Reports development and support.
</li><li>Experience with Spotfire, PowerBI and other reporting tools.
</li><li>Experience with AI-enabled automation and scripting.
</li><li>Experience with industrial automation systems such as Cygnet, TopServer, and PI.
</li><li>Relevant certifications in IT support, database management, or related disciplines.

Production Operations and Measurement IT Advisor

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Assists with all aspects of I&amp;E on an offshore production platform. Executes day to day I&amp;E activities according to safety standards. Coordinates and completes documentation and activities necessary. Ensures production equipment is maintained according to company standards. Assists teams with developing solutions to rectify issues that may hinder production activities. Works with interdisciplinary offshore teams to develop solutions to mitigate production stoppages due to repair/ maintenance activities on production platforms.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li>Ensure that regular preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance / repair activities and special projects involving electrical systems are performed in a timely manner so as to prevent downtime, ensure the efficient and continual functioning of all electrical equipment on board the production platform
</li><li>Direct hands-on participation in executing and supervising instrumentation and electrical maintenance activities, both routine and non-routine, across the platform
</li><li>Problem solve and properly plan all electrical projects which may include installing wire and connecting electrical components to various motors, all electrical power generation sources, rectifiers and circuits, transformers, power distribution systems, etc
</li><li>Be fully conversant with the responsibilities of an Issuing / Performing Authority within the PTW system for keeping the worksite safe and clean, and ensuring all isolations are performed using the stated isolation procedures
</li><li>Assist with repairing refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems, galley equipment, washer / dryers, computers, etc as directed and qualified
</li><li>Be fully conversant with Emergency and Operating Procedures and all relevant regulations; be aware of and adhere to such regulations so as to develop a safe and efficient working environment
</li><li>Ensure that the electrical work is performed in a safe manner while complying with all state, federal and company rules and regulations as they pertain to the electrical components on the production platform
</li><li>Provide assistance to the Mechanic and Compliance Technician when requested to do so
</li><li>Problem solve, read and work from electronic blueprint drawings, trouble shoot &amp; isolate down to a particular module then change defective module, install wiring and connects electrical components to various electronic equipment
</li><li>Be familiar with and have the ability to troubleshoot problems with the Programmable Logic Computer (PLC) system and the networking drive control systems
</li><li>Report any issues impacting process safety, personnel safety, and environmental conditions
</li><li>Assist with all regulatory required testing, inspections, and completion of all required paperwork
</li></ul>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Professional / Technical Qualifications/Licences/Certifications:
<ul><li>Minimum: THUET, T-2 Certificate
</li><li>Additional: Advanced Fire Fighting, Lifeboatman, Fast Rescue Craft, First Aid / CPR, Helicopter Landing Officer
</li></ul>Experience: at least one year experience on GOM Oxy Platform
Skills &amp; Competencies:
<ul><li>Familiar with the needs and requirements of Permit To Work (PTW) systems
</li><li>Knowledgeable and capable of interpreting Process and Instrument Drawings (P&amp;IDs), troubleshooting and repairing level controllers, pressure / temperature controls, flowmeters, PLCs, and transmitters
</li><li>Experience in installation, repair, and troubleshooting of all instrumentation and electrical equipment
</li><li>Experienced in power electrical installation works such as power cables, control circuits, and power transformers
