Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote.
The Sr. Tax Accountant is responsible for overseeing all aspects of state and local sales and use tax reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. You are adept at analyzing information, completing necessary forms accurately, and ensuring timely filing with the appropriate agencies. Working closely with tax department colleagues, as well as successful cross-functional collaboration with other internal OS groups/departments and external contacts (consultants, auditors).
A Day in the Life...<ul><li>
Responsible for all state &amp; local sales and use tax reporting, compliance and planning including gathering and analyzing information, completion of appropriate forms and filing of those forms with the appropriate agency in a timely manner.</li><li>
Leads tax review of invoices in Accounts Payable workflow systems. Responds and resolves all sales &amp; use tax inquiries arising from US domestic plant locations. Leads &ldquo;exemption certificate&rdquo; evaluation/preparation process.
</li><li>Performs state &amp; local sales &amp; use tax audit planning and defense during internal, external and government agency audits. Manages outside consultants that occasionally perform &ldquo;reverse audit&rdquo; services.</li><li>
Assists the Tax Manager and external tax counsel with IRS and other audits as requested.</li><li>
Accountable for the budgeting, payment, and reconciliation of all Massachusetts property tax bills.</li><li>
Gathers information in response to requests to assist in preparation of the US Federal tax return as well as state corporate income tax returns.</li><li>
Assist in budgeting and long-range planning projects and other projects as assigned.</li><li>
Prepares applicable account reconciliations and manages state annual report filing obligations.</li><li>
Responsible for all Real Estate tax accruals, payments, filings, and liaising with 3rd party consultants.</li><li>
Leads data collection for annual R&amp;D credit support (Fed, MA)</li><li>
Manages/Computes the Annual Cost Allocation process</li><li>
Serve as a resource (as applicable) for &ldquo;Bottle Bill&rdquo; and &ldquo;PCR&rdquo; reporting</li><li>
Handles entity-level FBAR reporting</li><li>
Manages annual 1042 compliance obligations</li><li>
Maintain all compliance activities associated with existing &amp; potential tax incentives (61A, EDIP, TIF, etc)</li></ul>
What We Are Looking For:
Required<ul><li>
Experience in all aspects of Corporate, State and Local Sales and Use tax matters</li><li>
Experience in US Federal &amp; State tax areas</li><li>
Experience with the Federal and Local Audit process
</li><li>Capability to analyze and make decisions</li><li>
Strong multitasking and communication skills</li><li>
Ability to work independently with minimal direction from management</li><li>
Ability to perform tax research and conclude/communicate findings</li><li>
Prior experience in Corporate Tax Department</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Excel</li><li>
Experience with SAP (S4), and A/P Invoicing software</li></ul> 
Education:
Bachelor's or University Degree (Required) Master's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience:
At least 5 Years of Experience
Annual Salary:
$79,400 - $109,230

Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for a new Senior Financial Analyst to join our Commercial US Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting brand marketing, sales, and other key business functions as a strategic business partner. Successful candidates will provide actionable business analytics and fact-based recommendations that will assist in delivering results. Multitasking and the ability to work with all levels of cross-functional business team members in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will act as a trusted and valuable business partner by providing financial tools, modeling, insights, and knowledge to support financial discipline in all business decisions. Candidates will proactively identify issues and must be able to effectively collaborate and communicate across multiple functions throughout the organization to drive solutions and influence the right outcome.
A Day in the Life...<ul><li>Provide accurate and timely financial information and analyses, making and/or implementing sound recommendations to grow the USA business profitability and optimize the existing portfolio.</li><li>Partner with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, R&amp;D, and Innovation teams to translate assumptions into development of new product business case, including sound financials.</li><li>Supports the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and work closely with cross functional business partners to understand key inputs to the forecast, risks and opportunities, and makes recommendations to improve forecast accuracy.</li><li>Provide insights and analytics that help the business teams develop robust strategies and tactics that deliver against AOP metrics.</li><li>Participate in the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan (AOP) and long range plan (LRP).</li><li>Update the monthly forecast based on business changes and communicate changes to business partners by providing specific, actionable, and forward-looking commentary on the changes and guidance on potential risk and opportunities.</li><li>Participate in month-end/quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks, including identification, communication and resolution of unusual items and issues promptly.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand key variance drivers between the plan/forecast and actual results, projecting impacts on financial forecasts, and assist in synthesizing data to communicate in supporting narrative.</li><li>Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the business drivers across the full P&amp;L for the brand team and cross-functional partners (volume/sales, trade, COGS, marketing, SG&amp;A) and price/volume/mix analysis.</li><li>Initiate, lead, and manage projects which will improve current business results and deliver against strategy.</li><li>Provide trade management support and analysis for pricing events and promotions.</li><li>Partner with key stakeholders to drive financial efficiency projects/initiatives.</li><li>Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.</li></ul>
