 What You Will Do
 
 
 
 In this role, you will:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Oversee, co-ordinate and optimize all onboard technical systems&mdash;mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utilities, hull, and structure systems in compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead maintenance planning and execution: preventive, corrective, predictive&mdash;to maximize uptime and equipment reliability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage bunkering, housekeeping, CMMS records, stock control, and hazardous substances.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure regulatory compliance, Permit‑to‑Work integrity, and class approvals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate closely with OIM, department heads, contractors, onshore support, HSSEQ, and TMS.
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentor and assess team performance&mdash;support crew development, training, and succession.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to budget planning, monitor expenditure, and deliver clear technical reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve as an active Emergency Response Team member&mdash;prepared, vigilant, accountable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentor and coach local staff in daily FPSO/FPU maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency.
 </li>
 <li>
 Delegate responsibilities to nationals as they demonstrate competency in machinery operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead structured training and on-the-job mentoring for maintenance, mechanical, and E&amp;I personnel, with regular performance reviews.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide cross-departmental exposure to broaden understanding of offshore operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Foster teamwork, inclusion, and offshore culture to support national staff integration and long-term continuity.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 What We Are Looking For
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Degree in Engineering and/or Chief Engineer&rsquo;s Certificate of Competency/Superintendent certification.
 </li>
 <li>
 15 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 5 years offshore and at least 2 years in FPSO/FPU maintenance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong FPSO/FPU maintenance background (ER machinery, marine, utilities, topside equipment).
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven offshore leadership&mdash;capable in risk assessment, MOC, and emergency readiness.
 </li>
 <li>
 Skilled in CMMS, troubleshooting, condition monitoring, and contractor oversight.
 </li>
 <li>
 Solid regulatory knowledge (IMO, SOLAS, ISM, MARPOL), class rules and compliance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluent in English (other languages such as Portuguese, French, or Italian are a plus).
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentorship focus&mdash;drive nationalization through on‑the‑job training and cross‑functional exposure
 </li>
 <li>
