<div>Junior Data Scientist / Sr Analyst
OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, Data Analytics, and Information Technology.
Responsibilities and Duties
OCT currently has an opening for a Junior Data Scientist to support an existing federal client with data analysis and predictive model development on the Databricks platform.
Day to day responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Data cleaning and ETL development with SQL and Python</li><li>
Data analysis using SQL and Python</li><li>
Building pipelines in Databricks</li><li>
Building visualizations with Databricks</li></ul> 

Requirements 
<ul><li>
Must be a U.S. Citizen.</li><li>
Minimum B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar</li><li>
Minimum 3 years of professional experience</li><li>
Familiarity with FAIR principles, data governance, and AI ethics.</li><li>
Hands-on experience with Databricks features such as Unity Catalog setup, privilege models, and workspace administration required.</li><li>
Databricks certifications are preferred</li><li>
Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>
Location: Hybrid, with 2 days/week in the McLean, VA office</li></ul>
