Position Summary:

The Junior Business Intelligence Analyst will be a motivated self-starter, joining a high-performing, highly-visible, cross functional team of BI Analysts and SQL developers. Operating in a fast-paced environment, they will have the ability to make a substantial impact on day-today operations and strategic initiatives. Operating across multiple disciplines, they will play a role in projects directly for the executive team and senior leaders and will gain exposure to a variety of business units, systems, and processes. In addition, they will be responsible for helping complete all Statistical and Surplus lines reporting and will be expected to oversee/guide other team members to facilitate project completion. 

Essential Duties
<ul>
<li>Contribute to meetings with the business users and stakeholders to determine scope, requirements and proposes solutions</li>
<li>Analyzes and converts business requirements to technical requirements, designs and implements solutions, and works with report developers on the team to deliver information in the most effective way</li>
<li>Turns data into actionable insights for stakeholders</li>
<li>Will receive exposure to existing SQL (e.g. stored procs, functions, scripts) and learn to make simple modifications</li>
<li>Contribute to a high functioning team completing ad-hoc tasks for multiple departments and levels of leadership</li></ul> 


Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Beginner knowledge of excel (Vlookups, Basic Formulas)</li>
<li>Any level of exposure to PowerBi designing dashboard visualizations, building semantic layers, writing Dax/M Code or Tableau is a plus.</li>
<li>Resourceful and appetite to become a strong problem-solver</li>
<li>Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and timelines</li>
<li>Strong inter-personal and communication skills with a high level of engagement</li>
<li>Displays strong work ethic and motivation to consistently improve processes</li></ul> 


Education/Experience:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Analytics or other Business practices, computer science, information technology, math, statistics, or data science preferred</li>
<li>Prior work or internship experience is a plus, but not required</li></ul> 


Office Requirements

This role is fully onsite. The candidate is required to attend the New York City office 5 times a week.

In New York City, NY the pay range for this role is 70,000-90,000. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The specific offer will depend on an applicant&rsquo;s skills and other factors. This range is specific to New York City, NY and may not be applicable to other locations.
