We are seeking a committed and motivated Youth Facility Deputy Director<b> </b>to join our leadership team at the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice.

As Deputy Director, you will work closely with the Facility Director to guide staff, oversee programs, and advance our mission of accountability, growth, and community safety.</div><p></p>

</b></h2></div><div><p>Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in juvenile probation and parole, social services, counseling, or in a residential, correctional, behavioral health, or group home setting; OR<br>

A bachelor&rsquo;s degree plus four years of experience in juvenile probation and parole, social services, counseling, or in a residential, correctional, behavioral health, or group home setting; OR<br>
<br>
A master's degree in criminal justice or a social sciences field, counseling, education, public administration, or business administration plus three years of experience in juvenile probation and parole, social services, counseling, or in a residential, correctional, behavioral health, or group home setting; OR<br>
<br>
A doctorate degree in a criminal justice field, counseling, social science field, education, public administration, or business administration plus two years of experience in juvenile probation and parole, social services, counseling, or in a residential, correctional, behavioral health, or group home setting.<br>
<br>
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:<br>
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.<br>

Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and daily facility functions to maintain safety and efficiency.</li><li>

The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) is committed to protecting the public by providing safe and effective individualized services to youth, who will become productive, law-abiding citizens. We are seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our team as Probation and Parole Officer-Juvenile. This role plays a critical part in promoting public safety, reducing recidivism, and supporting the successful rehabilitation of justice-involved youth through professional supervision, guidance, and intervention strategies. This position is responsible for collaborating closely with judges, law enforcement agencies, and community-based organizations to provide services and supervision for juveniles.<br>

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications
</b></h2></div><div><p>Three years of experience in corrections or law enforcement; OR<br>
<br>
Three years of continuous active military duty (all Military Occupational Specialties apply); OR<br>
<br>
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR<br>
<br>
A bachelor's degree.<br>
<br>
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:<br>
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.<br>
<br>
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:<br>
An applicant who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence or a felony, or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.<br>
<br>
Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.<br>
<br>
This position may require the incumbent to handle and carry firearms.<br>
<br>
Willingness and ability to complete the Corrections Juvenile Services-Agent Curriculum.</p></div>

Career Progression:</b> This position may be filled as a Probation and Parole Officer 1,2, or 3 (Juvenile), depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.</p><b>
Compensation: </b>These positions have a <b>Special Entrance Rate (SER) </b>at each level.<br>

The Probation and Parole Officer 1 Juvenile has a SER of $1,590.40 Biweekly.</b></li><li><b>
The Probation and Parole Officer 2 Juvenile has a SER of $1,701.60 Biweekly.</b></li><li><b>
The Probation and Parole Officer 3 Juvenile has a SER of $2,084.80 Biweekly.</b></li></ul><br>
