The Office of Statewide Pretrial Services&rsquo; (OSPS or Office) mission is to assist in the administration of justice and promote community safety by ensuring fairness and equality in the pretrial process. The OSPS is a statewide office that provides pretrial services under the Pretrial Services Act, 725 ILCS 185. The Office develops pretrial standards and employs pretrial service officers who conduct pretrial investigations and provide pretrial supervision.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under general supervision, the Pretrial Program Coordinator provides programmatic and administrative support to the Office of Statewide Pretrial Services. The required working hours for this position are 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM, Monday- Friday.FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:&middot; Provides administrative office support, including but not limited to, answering and returning phone calls, checking the shared email inboxes, greeting visitors, maintaining calendars, distributing mail, ordering supplies, and scheduling staff and other meetings.&middot; Prepares and delivers written court reminders and other correspondence to pretrial clients.&middot; Assists with criminal history checks by accessing LEADS and entering data on newly arrested defendants as needed.&middot; Communicates with individuals on electronic monitoring regarding movement requests.&middot; Processes electronic monitoring enrollment requests.&middot; Assists with the drug testing and electronic monitoring inventory management, including ordering, tracking and delivery of equipment.&middot; Prepares communications, such as letters, emails, memos, reports, and other correspondence.&middot; Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum Qualifications:&middot; An Associate&rsquo;s Degree from an accredited institution or two years of relevant professional experience.&middot; Ability to be LEADS (Law Enforcement Agencies Data System) certified.&middot; A valid Illinois Driver&rsquo;s License A valid Illinois Driver&rsquo;s License and proof of automobile insurance to operate a personal vehicle on state business, as well as maintain a safe driving record.&middot; One year (in addition to education requirements) of progressively responsible clerical or programmatic experience in an office setting involving typing, filing, answering phones, and computer work.&middot; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel.Preferred Qualifications:&middot; A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field from an accredited institution.&middot; Three years of experience providing administrative support to a public or private organization.&middot; One year of experience working within community corrections or the criminal justice system.OTHER KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:&middot; Effective oral and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.&middot; Ability to plan, organize, implement, and maintain a variety of functions and projects simultaneously and meet required deadlines and schedules.&middot; Ability to positively and professionally interact with co-workers.&middot; Demonstrated leadership skills including planning and priority setting, sound decision-making, problem-solving, and analytic and interpretive skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: &middot; Ability to sit for extended time periods.&middot; Professional office working environment requiring telephone usage and ability to process written documents.&middot; Ability to travel, including overnight stays, as required.HOW TO apply:Interested individuals should submit a resume and cover letter through the form below.https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/cfdfd666f464473185cdbbd0a5b7b361An OSPS Job Application is not required to apply, but it will be required before final hiring decisions are made.
