Community Asphalt, founded in 1980 as an asphalt paving contractor, based in Miami, Florida, and part of OHLA USA since 2006, has since become specialized in general road construction and transportation infrastructure. From its four operation and plant facilities in Miami-Dade, Fort Myers, Vero Beach and West Palm Beach, the company boasts extensive geographic coverage throughout South Florida, focusing on all aspects of transportation infrastructure development, primarily for state and local authorities. Community Asphalt continues to provide traditional paving services which include grading and paving, pavement milling, surveying, excavation, on and off-road hauling, drainage, utilities, base finishing, and highway sweeping. The company also provides engineering, contracting, design and build and finance and more complex PPP contracts services. These projects include parking lots, industrial and retail complexes, road and highway construction, and airport runways.
 
Summary
 
Our company has an immediate opening for Off-Road Truck Driver in West Palm Beach, Fl. The Off-Road Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating construction trucks exclusively on private property and active construction job sites. This role supports construction operations by transporting materials such as dirt, aggregate, asphalt, or debris within designated site boundaries. This position does not involve driving on public road.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 
<ul>
<li>Operate off-road construction trucks (dump trucks, haul trucks, water trucks, or similar equipment) within job sites only</li>
<li>Transport materials safely and efficiently as directed by supervisors</li>
<li>Follow established site traffic patterns, signals, and safety procedures</li>
<li>Perform daily pre-operation inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns</li>
<li>Maintain constant awareness of surrounding equipment, personnel, and hazards</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with foremen, equipment operators, and crew members</li>
<li>Assist with general labor or site support tasks when not actively driving</li>
<li>Keep assigned vehicle clean and in safe operating condition</li>
<li>Comply with all company safety policies and site-specific rules</li>
<li>Attend required safety meetings and training sessions</li>
<li>Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times</li>
<li>Immediately report accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Valid Florida Driver's License (Class E) required</li>
<li>CDL not required (vehicle operation is limited to private property)</li>
<li>Prior experience operating construction or industrial vehicles preferred</li>
<li>Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions</li>
<li>Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions</li>
<li>Reliable attendance and punctuality</li>
<li>Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical test, and background check.</li>
<li>Shift: 7am - 5pm - Varies – FLEXIBLE</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment</li>
<li>Ability to climb in and out of vehicles multiple times per shift</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally</li>
<li>Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and variable schedules as required</li>
</ul>

<li>Active construction job sites</li>
<li>Exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and weather conditions</li>
<li>Fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment</li>
</ul>
