$65,000 - $90,000 yearly
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings</li>
<li>Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
</li><li>Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
</li><li>Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome</li>
<li>Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs</li>
</ul><ul><li>Court and trial appearances</li><li>
Client intake interviews and ongoing communications</li><li>
Motion Hearings</li><li>
Correspondence with opposing counsel/court</li><li>
Any other aspects related to representing the client&rsquo;s needs in their Criminal/DUI matters</li><li>
Business Development responsibilities available with additional compensation beyond base salary (Bonus structure and incentives)</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)
</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed</li>
<li>Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role</li>
<li>Able to work independently while handling multiple files</li>
<li>Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm</li>
</ul><ul><li>Preferred 2 years of DUI Law experience, either in your own practice or as an associate at another firm; will still consider an applicant with no experience and provide mentorship and training</li><li>
Licensed in South Carolina</li><li>
Eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges</li><li>
Willingness to travel to contiguous counties</li><li>
Excellent written and oral advocacy</li><li>
Exceptional client service and a congenial and collaborative mindset</li></ul>
