POSITION: Inventory and Costing Analyst LOCATION: Washington, INPURPOSE OF POSITION: Manage inventory control in Washington plant to ensure costing is correct, with appropriate process initiatives, and provide regular inventory and costing related reports and analysis to management.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Establish and enforce inventory data quality standards, conducting regular audits and assessments</li><li>New part set up and maintenance of bill of materials within Navision</li><li>Order closing and scrap analysis</li><li>Responsible for monthly standard cost roll</li><li>Recommend and initiate improvements to inventory levels and turns</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory and customer information in Navision</li><li>Provide insights and recommendations for inventory turns based on data analysis</li><li>Variance and root cause analysis on inventory reporting to budget</li><li>Inventory error investigation and correction</li><li>Work closely with production to ensure substitutions, scrap rates and orders are being recorded and closed accurately and on-time</li><li>Create, analyze and provide inventory and costing reports in Navision and Excel</li><li>Collaborate with inventory manager and procurement to review standard costing</li><li>Analyze current policies and procedures and make recommendations to improve accuracy and efficiency of inventory management</li><li>Implement policies, objectives and initiatives related to inventory management outlined by Inventory Manager</li><li>Implement inventory tools and systems to track, analyze, audit and report on various inventory items</li><li>Manage and maintain stocking agreement documents and process,</li><li>Conduct regular review of obsolete inventory and make appropriate recommendations</li><li>Ensure timely, accurate and effective data information in financial reports related to operational costs</li><li>Conduct regular cycle counts and review obsolete inventory</li><li>Key team member in annual inventory count</li><li>Provides feedback to operations managers on material costs</li><li>Make all appropriate inventory adjustment entries when necessary</li><li>All other duties as required.</li></ul>REPORTS TO: Inventory and Costing ManagerSUPERVISES: Not applicableSKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:<ul><li>Must have minimum 1-3 years manufacturing environment experience in a costing or inventory control related function,</li><li>Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory management systems (Pivot table and sumif function knowledge required)</li><li>Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office</li><li>Previous experience working with an MRP system</li><li>Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment</li><li>Excellent organization, problem solving, communication (oral and written)</li></ul>REQUIRED EDUCATION/ TRAINING:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, finance/accounting or related field</li><li>Understanding of basic accounting and manufacturing principles</li><li>Knowledge of costing and inventory control principles</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:<ul><li>Plant/ Office Environment,</li><li>Ability to travel to other facilities as required, which may include international travel requiring a passport,</li><li>No significant material handling will be required, but regular visits to the plant floor and some product counting may be necessary.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Washington, IN 47501
