Job Summary: 
The Psychologist in the Evaluation and Treatment Center is responsible to conduct evaluations and assessments, diagnose and provide comprehensive documentation . The Psychologist ensures that the highest possible quality services are provided to the clients who are treated within the center, maintaining excellent treatment and policy standards as per NYS DOH regulations. The Psychologist ensures the program offers evidenced based practices and treatment modalities required by the individuals served in the program. The Psychologist works with the evaluation team and their process of administering and interpreting developmental tests for children and adults to identify specific learning disabilities, not limited to attention deficit (ADHD), autism, intellectual giftedness, and learning differences.
 
Essential Job Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Administers and scores assessments and tests with a high level of reliability</li>
<li>Complete written summaries of test/evaluation results to be reviewed by referring clinicians and physicians</li>
<li>Seek consultation for cases where validity might be impacted</li>
<li>Conduct interviews and assessments and complete written summaries in a timely fashion</li>
<li>Collaborate with other clinicians for testing results and recommendations</li>
<li>Complete reporting of findings using the prescribed template</li>
<li>Within areas of responsibility, ensure adherence to clinical and operational best practices, internal and external policies, procedures, ethical standards, laws, regulations, contract provisions, standards, accreditation requirements, and the organization's corporate compliance plan</li>
<li>Provides clinical counseling for patients and their families</li>
<li>Assist with problem-solving to improve efficiencies within the diagnostic team</li>
<li>Portray a positive attitude and maintain a patient and staff satisfaction level that limits adverse situations or complaints</li>
<li>Attend trainings and programs related to this role</li>
<li>Program development to include writing/submitting grant applications and/or other initiatives.</li>
<li>Provides leadership on Agency committees, as assigned.</li>
<li>Complies with all federal and state regulations and agency policies pertaining to HIPAA, false claims, whistleblower policies and all others.</li>
<li>Responsible for reporting and monitoring provider’s productivity weekly.</li>
<li>Performs other duties assigned by supervisor</li>

Minimum Experience Required:

<li>Experience in performing cognitive and educational evaluations, scoring and interpreting results, and developing individualized recommendations to support performance in schools, in the home, and in the workplace</li>
<li>Strong clinical skills in differential diagnosis and research-based treatment of language/learning abilities and disabilities in children and adolescents</li>
<li>Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental differences preferred</li>
</ul>
License/Registration/ Certifications:

<li>Valid NYS Driver’s License, required</li>
<li>Board Certified Licensed Psychologist</li>
</ul>

<li>Knowledge of typical growth and development and the impact of the developmental disabilities on the individual and his/her family.</li>
<li>Has basic knowledge of alternative communication devices.</li>
<li>Support Behavior Technicians through effective supervision, ensuring that they are implementing treatment plans with a high degree of reliability and fidelity.</li>
<li>Collaborate and provide training with families, caregivers, and other professionals.</li>
<li>Train in best practices.</li>
<li>Conduct new hire trainings.</li>
<li>Complete and maintain credentialing with all insurance companies working with ETC.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate medical documentation and records related to client progress and treatment outcomes.</li>
<li>Conducts all interactions within current best practices and ethical guidelines.</li>
<li>Maintain client confidentiality within the regulations of HIPPA/FERPA and agency guidelines</li>
