Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced personal injury attorney to join our firm. In this role you will be responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury claims from inception through settlement negotiation. You will diligently represent our clients' interests and ensure they receive fair compensation for their injuries.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Strategically litigate personal injury cases by working up case files</li><li>
Draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, oppositions, and other legal documents to advance case progression</li><li>
Manage cases through the pre-litigation process from intake through demand, negotiation, and settlement</li><li>
Draft and review discovery, meet and confer letters, and discovery motions</li><li>
Prepare, conduct, and defend percipient and expert depositions</li><li>
Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in court</li><li>
Review work product, including demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents, to ensure accuracy and compliance</li><li>
Draft mediation briefs, attend mediation, and actively participate in negotiating settlements</li><li>
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and assess case values</li><li>
Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates and discuss case developments</li><li>
Prepare pre-trial documents and trial materials in case the case goes to trial</li><li>
Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court hearings</li><li>
Manage and provide guidance to litigation assistants, case managers, and paralegals</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school</li><li>
Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing</li><li>
2+ years of Personal Injury Attorney experience required</li><li>
Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively within a team environment</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Demonstrate commitment to client advocacy, integrity, and professionalism</li><li>
Excellent research, communication, and negotiation skills</li></ul>
Compensation:
Salary Range: $100k &ndash; $215,000+ (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
