SUMMARY: 
Implements and monitors information security programs and controls. Ensures protection of technology and the business against unauthorized access, disclosure, modification and deletion of information. Completes a variety of audit, reporting, information program, policy, procedure, technology and incident mitigation tasks.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Establishes and applies risk management principles for consistent tracking and measurement in compliance with industry standards.</li>
<li>Performs as a security engineering technical advisor for all technology initiatives to ensure program conformance.</li>
<li>Ensures end-to-end system and data security through the use of perimeter threat event reporting, data loss prevention and anti-spam/anti-virus and phishing simulation solutions.</li>
<li>Performs risk-analysis for threat events through simulations and communicates findings and training requirements to management and business (e.g. phishing simulations).</li>
<li>Supports a near-zero risk enterprise using telemetry from security incident and event management and other solutions.</li>
<li>Tests solutions effectively utilizing industry standard analysis methods. Delivers technical reports and other documentation concerning test results.</li>
<li>Engineers security solutions efficiently with a minimal technology footprint where possible. Manages vendor solutions and partnerships with discretion to ensure business and data privacy.</li>
<li>Audits and reports on identity and access management to ensure a zero-trust framework for production and development business application systems.</li>
<li>Maintains awareness of evolving threats through membership with ISO, RSA, SANS, ISSA, etc. and information security solution vendor partners.</li>
<li>Collaborates with other IT and business teams on security program initiatives and resolves security related issues.</li>
<li>Monitors intrusion prevention system technologies and performs vulnerability scans. Escalates incidents when applicable and tracks completion of full event lifecycles.</li>
<li>Supports efforts and processes focused on investigations and misuse of company data. Captures evidence that is admissible in a court of law for unauthorized activities.</li>
<li>Uses approved AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and support job-related duties, while maintaining data privacy, security, and compliance with applicable policies.</li>
<li>Harnesses approved AI capabilities to strengthen the organization’s security posture (e.g., improving threat detection, triage, and response), while ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance with applicable policies.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Ability):
 <ul>
<li>Must have at least 3 years information security experience or 6 years information systems experience preferably in the financial services industry.</li>
<li>Must have or be able to obtain within six months of hire one of the following/equivalent certifications:</li>
<li>Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)</li>
<li>Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)</li>
<li>CompTIA PenTest+</li>
<li>SC-200 Microsoft Security Operations Analyst</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience is required.</li>
<li>Must have advanced computer skills and practical knowledge of computing systems and software including support desk solution(s).</li>

JOB SUMMARY: 
The Data Analyst Sr. – Fraud & Risk will be responsible for transforming fragmented fraud and risk data into trusted, actionable insights that accelerate fraud detection, investigation, recovery, risk mitigation, and audit readiness. This role operates in an ML enabled vendor environment, partnering closely with Fraud Operations, Risk, and Technology to extract maximum value from platforms like Verafin while laying the data foundation for future in house modeling. The analyst will also perform risk data analysis across fraud patterns, operational controls, exposure trends, and model performance to strengthen organizational decision making.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
<ul>
<li>Design and maintain fraud and risk analytics datasets in Databricks sourced from Verafin, Accelerant, Q2, Fed files, and other operational systems.</li>
<li>Build governed, repeatable pipelines and curated tables to replace manual Excel/macros processes.</li>
<li>Integrate cross channel fraud and risk views, such as member, account, product, transaction, case, exposure, or control effectiveness.</li>
<li>Perform risk data analysis to identify trends, gaps, typologies, control failures, and emerging threats.</li>
<li>Conduct quantitative assessments of fraud exposure, loss forecasting, and risk scenario analysis.</li>
<li>Partner with Fraud Operations to interpret and operationalize vendor ML outputs, such as risk scores, alerts, typologies.</li>
<li>Analyze model performance, false positive rates, thresholds, and operational impacts on fraud and risk controls.</li>
<li>Collaborate with first and second line risk teams to ensure model outputs align with broader risk strategies.</li>
<li>Develop executive ready dashboards and investigator ready reporting with</li>
<li>Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requests with defensible evidence, through traceable, well documented metrics.</li>
<li>Contribute to fraud and risk data standards, definitions, metadata, and documentation.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Technology and Architecture on data ingestion and quality improvements.</li>
<li>Additional projects, responsibilities, or other duties assigned.</li>
</ul>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: 
<ul>
<li>Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, window functions, data cleansing, performance tuning.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency with cloud data platforms, such as Databricks, Delta Lake, and distributed data processing.</li>
<li>Proven experience with trend analysis, loss/risk modeling, exposure calculations, scenario analysis.</li>
<li>Deep expertise in data quality and governance, such as data lineage, metric definitions, documentation, and standardization.</li>
<li>Expert-level knowledge in dashboard and visualization tools, executive reporting, investigator tools, KPI dashboards.</li>
<li>Knowledge of python/scripting, including data transformation, automation, and analytics (preferred but not required).</li>
<li>Working knowledge of data engineering fundamentals, including data modeling, pipeline development, ETL/ELT, and building curated datasets.</li>
<li>Ability to break down complex data issues, identify root causes, and propose actionable solutions.</li>
<li>Strong ability to convert data into meaningful operational and risk insights that influence decisions.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to employees at all levels.</li>
<li>Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including senior leaders.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of fraud schemes, typologies, transaction flows, loss drivers, and enterprise risk frameworks.</li>
<li>Knowledge of ML based alerting systems, risk scoring, thresholding, and model performance concepts.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and defensibility of analyses and reporting.</li>
</ul>
MIN QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>5 years of experience in data analytics</li>
<li>Advanced SQL and experience working with large, messy datasets</li>
<li>Experience with Databricks or modern cloud data platforms</li>
<li>Proven ability to translate analytics into operational and executive insights</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>8 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in financial services, risk, or fraud</li>
<li>Strong understanding of fraud concepts (alerts, cases, typologies, losses, recovery)</li>
<li>Experience working with vendor fraud platforms (e.g., Verafin)</li>
<li>Familiarity with model outputs, thresholds, and false positive tuning</li>
<li>Experience supporting audits or regulatory exams</li>
<li>Experience with Python or similar scripting for data transformation</li>

Operational Risk - Data Analyst, Sr - Fraud & Risk

Summary
 
Reporting directly to the Manager of Mortgage Operations, the Assistant Manager of Mortgage Processing plays a key role in the overall daily functions of Mortgage Operations. This role involves managing day to day operations, supporting team performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of mortgage processes. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Mortgage Operations Manager to drive process improvements, manage team development, and ensure the timely and accurate processing of mortgage loans from application through closing.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Operational Support: Assist in managing daily mortgage operations, including loan origination, processing, underwriting, closing and post-closing activities. Ensure efficient and smooth workflow across departments by monitoring operational performance and addressing material gaps.</li>
<li>Team Management and Development: Provide coaching, training, and guidance to staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Provide input on performance evaluations, setting individual and team goals, and maintaining a productive work environment.</li>
<li>Workflow Optimization: Work with the Manager of Mortgage Operations to analyze existing processes and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and improve member service.</li>
<li>Pipeline Management: Monitor loan pipelines to ensure that all loans progress smoothly addressing and resolving any delays or issues in a timely manner. Support personal pipeline as needed.</li>
<li>Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure all mortgage loans comply with regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies. Implement and enforce quality control measures to minimize errors and ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan documentation. Assist in internal audits and compliance checks to identify areas of risk and operational improvements.</li>
<li>Member service: Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients, resolving any operational issues or challenges as needed.</li>
<li>Reporting: Assist in preparation of regular reporting for operational performance, loan production, and team effectiveness. Track key metrics to ensure the team meets departmental and organizational goals.</li>
<li>Risk Management & Problem Resolution: Monitor operational risk and help mitigate potential issues that may affect loan processing or member experience. Work collaboratively with other departments to solve complex problems or discrepancies in the loan process.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Mortgage Operations.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred).</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in mortgage operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.</li>
<li>Proficient in mortgage software platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
<li>This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.</li>
