Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for an Early Childhood teacher to join our team! This classroom would work with children between two and three years old. At Harbor View, we work every day to create a supportive, family environment where your contributions are valued and you matter to us as a person, not just an employee. 
 
Pay starts between $15.00 - $17.00 based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. Responsibilities
 
<ul><li>Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for the children in your age group.</li>
<li>Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children</li>
<li>Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem</li>
<li>Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments</li>
<li>Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).</li>
<li>Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other educators.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.</li>
</ul> 
Desired Skills and Experience: 
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is a plus!</li>
<li>45 DCF Training Hours or willingness to obtain (Need to have before one year of employment)</li>
<li>Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms</li>
<li>Excellent communication and instructional skills</li>
<li>Ability to act as a mediator between children</li>
<li>Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable</li>
<li>Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain</li></ul></div>

Pay starts between $16.00 to $18.00 based on education and experience. All employees are awarded ongoing pay raises based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Benefits:
 
<ul><li>All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.</li>
<li>Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.</li>
<li>Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.</li>

<li>Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other educators.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.</li>
</ul> 
Desired Skills and Experience: 
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a licensed childcare facility</li>
<li>45 DCF Training Hours (One year to complete all courses and exams)</li>
<li>CDA preferred</li>
<li>Understanding of the principles of child development</li>
<li>Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms</li>
<li>Excellent communication and instructional skills</li>
<li>Ability to act as a mediator between children</li>
<li>Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable</li>
