Once Upon a Time Child Care Center in Verona, WI is hiring passionate and dedicated Early Childhood School-age Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) will have a strong background in working with preschool and elementary school-age children. In this role, you will supervise, teach and support elementary age students (Kindergarten through third grade), fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities and structured learning experiences. 
 
If you are looking for part-time work, the hours for the School-age teaching position are 1:30 - 5:30 Monday - Friday. Teachers walk up and pick up students from the elementary school around 2:20 p.m. 
 
If you are looking for full-time work, you could work up to 40 hours/week by working in the preschool classrooms in the morning and then, after a lunch break, working in the school-age classroom.

Duties 
 
Classroom Teachers: 
 
<ul><li>Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote childhood development.</li>
<li>Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.</li>
<li>Maintain classroom schedule and routines.</li>
<li>Implement daily lesson plans and activities.</li>
<li>Have strong classroom management skills.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for students.</li>
<li>Maintain classroom organization, including managing supplies, equipment, and student records.</li>
<li>Foster positive relationships with students to support their emotional well-being and social skills.</li>
<li>Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.</li>
</ul>Requirements 
 
<ul><li>Must be over 18 years old.</li>
<li>Associates or Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education or a related field is preferred.</li>
<li>Previous experience working as a Lead or as an Assistant Teacher in a group preschool or childcare setting preferred.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.</li>
<li>Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.</li>
<li>Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for educating young children.</li>
