Are you energized by creative spaces, emerging artists, and the rhythm of a working art school and gallery? One River School of Art &amp; Design is seeking a Gallery &amp; Student Services Coordinator to help shape a welcoming, inspiring environment where students, families, and art lovers connect with contemporary art and creative learning. This position will start in May 2026 and will have varied hours throughout the Summer and evening and weekend hours after August.
This role is ideal for someone with a visual arts background who enjoys being at the center of a dynamic creative community &mdash; supporting exhibitions, engaging with students, and contributing to the daily flow of an innovative art school. Evening and weekend hours are available, making this a great opportunity for students, practicing artists, and early-career arts professionals.
At One River, we&rsquo;ve reimagined how art is taught &mdash; blending skill development with contemporary culture to create meaningful artistic outcomes across drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, manga, digital art, and more.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
What You&rsquo;ll Do</h3><ul><li>
Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for students, families, and visitors &mdash; in person and on the phone</li><li>
Help open and close the school, ensuring a polished, gallery-ready environment</li><li>
Check students into classes and onboard new members into the One River community</li><li>
Lead tours for prospective students and families, sharing our programs and creative philosophy</li><li>
Assist with scheduling class makeups and supporting calendar coordination</li><li>
Build strong relationships with members through thoughtful, attentive service</li><li>
Maintain the gallery presentation and confidently speak about student and professional artwork on display</li><li>
Ensure smooth student pickup and communicate with parents/guardians when needed</li><li>
Support enrollments, schedule changes, freezes, and other student service needs</li><li>
Collaborate with instructors and leadership on projects related to programming, marketing, design, and operations</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Who You Are</h3><ul><li>
Passionate about visual art, creative education, and community-driven spaces</li><li>
Comfortable engaging with people of all ages with warmth and professionalism</li><li>
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in an active environment</li><li>
Positive, collaborative, and motivated to contribute to a strong team culture</li><li>
Available for some evening and weekend shifts</li></ul>
Customer service or administrative experience is helpful, but we&rsquo;re happy to train candidates who bring the right creative mindset and interpersonal strengths.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Bonus If You Have</h3><ul><li>
Familiarity with Google Workspace tools</li><li>
Graphic design or visual communication experience (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.)</li><li>
Comfort with social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook</li><li>
Background in visual arts, marketing, business, or arts administration</li><li>
Interest or experience in art education, gallery work, or museum settings</li></ul>
