Position: Business Development Manager &ndash; Open Access (Solar) Department: Business Development Location: Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore Experience: 3&ndash;8 years in renewable energy (preferably Open Access Solar) Reports To: VP &ndash; Business DevelopmentKey Responsibilities<ul><li>Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities for Open Access Solar in C&amp;I segments.</li></ul><ul><li>Generate leads through networking, cold calls, events, industry associations, and strategic partnerships.</li></ul><ul><li>Develop and pitch customized solutions including long-term PPAs, group captive, and third-party sale models.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage the complete sales cycle &ndash; from lead generation, proposal preparation, financial modeling, negotiation, and closure.</li></ul><ul><li>Stay updated with regulatory frameworks, DISCOM policies, and state-specific open access regulations.</li></ul><ul><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term business partnerships.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Finance, Regulatory, and Legal) for seamless project execution.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare regular reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review.</li></ul><ul><li>Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and client meetings.</li></ul>Key Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering / Energy / Business Management (MBA preferred).</li></ul><ul><li>3&ndash;8 years of proven experience in Open Access Solar Sales</li></ul><ul><li>Strong understanding of C&amp;I customer power needs, tariff structures, and Open Access regulations.</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong analytical ability for preparing financial models and business cases.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work independently, handle multiple stakeholders, and deliver results under deadlines.</li></ul><ul><li>Willingness to travel frequently for client and regulatory meetings.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;1,000,000.00 - &#8377;1,500,000.00 per yearExperience:<ul><li>Solar Sales(Open Access): 3 years (Required)</li><li>Commercial Projects: 3 years (Required)</li></ul>Willingness to travel:<ul><li>100% (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
