YOUR IMPACT
 Join us as a strategic SLED Account Executive in the Northeast on the OpenText Cybersecurity Public Sector Team.In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our presence within State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) accounts. You will develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, understand the unique challenges in the SLED space, and offer tailored solutions that align with their missions and business goals. You will be representing our key pillars within: Application Security, Data Security and Data Privacy, Security Operations and Identity& Access Management.
 WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
 
<ul>
<li>Developing and managing a strategic territory plan focused on the SLED market segment.</li>
<li>Identifying, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities within assigned state, local, and education accounts.</li>
<li>Building and nurturing long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and procurement officials.</li>
<li>Understanding the public procurement process, funding cycles, and compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Solutions Engineering, Legal, Marketing, Product Management) to deliver customer-focused solutions.</li>
<li>Accurately forecasting sales activity and revenue in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).</li>
<li>Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.</li>
<li>Staying informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the SLED market.</li>
</ul>
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.</li>
<li>5+ years of successful software sales experience in a similar space/accounts with a proven track record.</li>
<li>Familiarity with government contracting, RFP/RFQ responses, and cooperative purchasing agreements.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
<li>Experience selling Application Security, Data Security, SecOps and/or Identity Management to SLED clients is preferred.</li>

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing.  Salary Range: $117,530- $193,085; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary will include commission, may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
 California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.

YOUR IMPACT
 Join us as a Senior Account Executive on the OpenText Cybersecurity Team. In this role, you will target assigned accounts for our Cybersecurity product portfolio by representing our key pillars within: Application Security, Data Security and Data Privacy, Security Operations and Identity& Access Management. Senior Account Executives are product, services, software or solution specialists that are responsible for leading pursuit in their assigned focus areas and will have named accounts allocated within a designated geography. They collaborate with Solution Engineers, Product Leaders and Channel Organization to provide specialist expertise within the sales team. They drive proactive initiatives to generate pipeline through direct prospecting, networking, and BDR campaigns to build the pipeline of leads. The role uses specialized knowledge to build demand through use cases and qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities.
 
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

<li>Actively prospecting new greenfield accounts using modern prospecting techniques and utilizing available resources to generate a qualified pipeline.</li>
<li>Understanding the whitespace in a territory of accounts and promoting new product placements into all accounts.</li>
<li>Managing the sales process from solutions identification to solution delivery, ensuring successful product placements.</li>
<li>Building strong customer relationships and addressing customer requirements with an associated return on investment.</li>
<li>Leading customers through a buying process and challenging their thinking, applying the right resources and information.</li>
<li>Acting as a conduit to the product teams and GTM product leads to build an overall strategy for product reach in this account space.</li>
<li>Pursuing new clients, developing business, and networking with passion.</li>
<li>Creating strong business relationships and negotiating large enterprise software deals.</li>
