<div><p><b>Seasonal Human Resource Assistant</b></p><p>
Operation New Hope is a nonprofit operating in Jacksonville, Orlando, Cocoa, St. Petersburg and Tampa, Florida. Our pre-release and post-release programs provide job training and placement, and comprehensive support services to people returning from incarceration and others who have been affected by the justice system with the goal of facilitating successful transitions back into the community. We motivate our clients to become productive, responsible citizens, and our programs help prevent recidivism, reduce the repeated costs of incarceration, and improve public safety. Our dedicated team supports the career opportunities, mental health, and overall stability of our clients to help them achieve self-sufficiency.</p><p><b>
Position Overview:</b> This is a seasonal, full-time role with an anticipated contract end date of mid-February to March 2026. The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the HR department operates efficiently and effectively. This position supports a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance tracking, and file maintenance.</p><p><b>
Reports to: </b>Human Resource Supervisor</p><div><b>
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Performs audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.<ul><li>
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.</li></ul></li><li>
Supports recruitment and selection processes for open positions.<ul><li>
Coordinates interview scheduling between candidates, the HR Specialist, and Hiring Managers.</li><li>
Follows up with candidates regarding pre-interview requirements, including skills assessments, character assessments, and personality inventories.</li></ul></li><li>
Assists with administrative tasks related to pre-hire processing, employee onboarding, and offboarding.</li><li>
Supports the internal tracking and scheduling of performance evaluations.</li><li>
Assists with planning, execution, and onboarding of program acquisitions.</li><li>
Tracks, monitors, and documents compliance related to mandatory and non-mandatory training, licensure, certifications, and position-specific requirements.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Education / Experience / Qualifications:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.</li><li>
Proficient with ADP Workforce Now HRIS software</li><li>
Current certification from a human resource association preferred; SHRM, PHR, etc.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.</li><li>
Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.</li></ul></div><ul><li>
Must be able to clear a Level I Background check through the Department of Corrections.</li><li>
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
