Ophthalmic Scribes play a key role in supporting our providers and patients. You&rsquo;ll accompany physicians during exams, document real-time patient interactions, and assist with testing and procedures.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO</b></p><ul><li>
Prepare patient charts/EMRs and exam rooms</li><li>
Accurately document physician-patient interactions</li><li>
Track orders, prescriptions, and testing</li><li>
Perform ophthalmic testing &amp; work up (visual acuity, tonometry, dilation, OCT, VF, etc.)</li><li>
Educate patients on procedures, testing, and prescriptions</li><li>
Audit charts for accuracy</li><li>
Provide exceptional patient care and service</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Outgoing, dependable, and service-oriented</li><li>
Calm under pressure, adaptable to change</li><li>

Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus (not required)</li><li>

THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND</b></div><div></div><div><br>
We&rsquo;re looking for an empathetic Medical Receptionist to join our team. Medical Receptionists are often the first impression a patient has of OCLI. You&rsquo;re interacting with patients and providers, and building relationships with them, while making sure the office is running smoothly. You&rsquo;ll be handling medical records, managing insurance verifications, and most importantly, managing the patient experience. You have a positive attitude and are motivated to provide an excellent experience to anyone that walks through our clinic doors.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

You&rsquo;ll provide our patients with a high level of service.</li><li>
Manage complex scheduling of patients and ensure timely handling of all patient matters.</li><li>
Register patients and manage patient flow in the office.</li><li>
Provide additional administrative support.</li><li>
You&rsquo;re a self-starter.</li><li>
You&rsquo;re flexible and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.</li><li>
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.</li><li>
Must be able to work 2 Saturdays a month.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL NEED TO SUCCEED</b></div><br>

Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service environment.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
You&rsquo;re comfortable managing sensitive patient information and medical records.</li><li>
You&rsquo;re able to work collaboratively and cooperatively with a team.</li><li>
You&rsquo;re able to provide white glove service to our patients.</li><li>
You&rsquo;re detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>
You have basic computer knowledge and are comfortable Microsoft office programs.</li><li>
Medical Office experience or experience dealing with patients is considered a plus.</li><li>
Familiarity with an EMR system is considered a plus.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
