The Sr. Cybersecurity Advisor (SA) plays a critical role in serving as a trusted partner to Optiv&rsquo;s clients. By combining sales skills and broad security practitioner knowledge, the SA designs security solutions for assigned clients. Aligned with their client's security initiatives and alongside a dedicated sales team, the Sr. SA advises and designs solutions for highly defensible and scalable security programs using some of the most advances security services and technologies. The Sr. SA has real-world knowledge and can design pragmatic Secure Networking (Cloud/Network/SASE/OT) security solutions tailored to each client&rsquo;s unique environment and provide our clients and sellers with consistent security expertise on all sales opportunities. In partnership with domain specialists and experts, the Sr. SA will facilitate thought leadership and inspire cyber security solutions powered by our ecosystem of people, products, and partners.</div><div>
How you'll make an impact<ul><li>
Actively participate in the Field Center of Excellence and position Optiv services and our key Secure Networking (Cloud/Network/SASE/OT) technology partners and their products to deliver value to clients.</li><li>
Collaborate with service delivery to ensure the team has necessary supporting domain specialty materials that present a consistent and comprehensive approach.</li><li>
Effectively work with multiple client personas across the security team, as well as other relevant personas to develop security strategy and define roadmaps to execute on security strategy aligned business goals, budgetary spend, and metrics based on return of investment.</li><li>
Maintain advisory relationships with key stakeholders at clients by facilitating thought leadership, support, information, and guidance in conjunction with sales partners.</li><li>
Maintain strong working relationships with relevant Optiv technology partners, based on client spend, and Optiv focus.</li><li>
Design and solution complete security programs to meet client objectives across technology and services including;<ul><li>
facilitating new discussions by leveraging peer and industry network contacts</li><li>
performing requirements gathering analysis, and technology selection criteria</li><li>
coordinating demonstrations and security technology evaluations</li></ul></li><li>
Interface and partner with the internal Optiv teams, particularly service delivery liaisons, to align client expectations with the entire Optiv solution portfolio to ensure service delivery excellence and client satisfaction.</li><li>
Listen for client feedback and continually share with internal teams to evaluate and cultivate continuous improvement.</li><li>
Participate in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities.</li><li>
Participate in managing and prioritizing the proposal process to create business proposals, contracts, and respond to RFI/RFP&rsquo;s</li><li>
Actively pursue personal development by maintaining and obtaining technical capabilities, soft skills, and security specific knowledge through formal education, certification, and other avenues.</li></ul></div><div> 
What we're looking for<ul><li>
BS/BA or equivalent applicable work experience.</li><li>
Minimum of eight (8) years in an information security role, architect, or engineer responsible for planning, building, and running secure Network, OT, and Cloud environments.</li><li>
Experience with Network, OT, and Cloud Security technology partners across key areas, including firewalls, segmentation, ZTNA, visibility, SASE, CNAPP, WAF, DDoS protection, load balancing, and posture management.</li><li>
Minimum of five (5) years architecting, building and maintaining network security technologies in productions environments, dealing with concepts such as high availability, mesh networking, asymmetric routing, virtual private cloud, and auto scaling.</li><li>
Highly motivated self-starter that does not require day-to-day management.</li><li>
Ability to work in a highly adaptable and nimble team environment with responsive communication.</li><li>
Thorough understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls.</li><li>
Strong business and technical acumen and ability to lead technology focused discussions.</li><li>
Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills to clients, including whiteboard sessions and other presentation mechanisms.</li><li>

Sr. Cybersecurity Advisor - Secure Networking | Remote, BAY AREA

As a Account Executive aka. Client Director (CD) you&rsquo;ll focus on selling Optiv security services and security technology solutions to a select few key strategic accounts (typically less than 10) within a geographic territory. You&rsquo;ll be responsible for owning and coordinating all aspects of the sales cycle within your assigned account(s) and leading a cross-functional team to build and execute a multi-year strategic account management plan for each of your accounts. Members of this cross-functional team will include a Client Solution Architect, Executive Advisory Director, Client Operations Specialist, and one or more Client Associates. For clarity, the CD will lead this team, although team members will be managed from a Human Relations perspective by managers within their respective organizations. As such, the CD is not considered to be a people management position but rather the leader of sales execution with support of your team.
Development of a multi-year strategic account management plan is a core and critical responsibility for the CD. You&rsquo;ll lead your team to identify and understand your client&rsquo;s core business objectives and how they correlate to mitigating business and cyber security risk. Based upon this understanding of the client, you&rsquo;ll lead your team to collaborate with client leadership to refine and/or build a security strategy and subsequently develop and propose solutions to address client security needs over a multi-year period. Ideally this will take the form of very large and complex solutions comprised of security management consulting, hardware and software security technologies, advisory, implementation and support services, and managed security services. An overarching goal is to establish a trusted relationship with the client that results in Optiv being their primary security solution partner and provider.
You&rsquo;ll also lead your team with a heightened focus on ever-enhancing client satisfaction. This will include meeting with clients early in the year to understand and document their business, technology and security goals, as well as client expectations of Optiv in support of attaining those goals. You&rsquo;ll review these goals, expectations and progress with your clients quarterly, engaging Optiv executives and resources as necessary to ensure that your team is on track to achieve or exceed these client-defined goals.
How you'll make an impact<ul><li>
Build trusted, effective and productive relationships with client executives at multiple levels within assigned accounts.</li><li>
Lead your team to create a multi-year strategic account management plan based upon identified client business, technology and security goals, coupled with Optiv&rsquo;s understanding of security trends, threats, and points of view for each assigned account.</li><li>

Total Target Compensation
$250,000 &ndash; $300,000+ Annually
The Estimated Total Target Compensation for this role includes base salary and an uncapped bonus plan where you are paid both on new and renewal business. It is informed by (but not limited to) various factors including responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, geography, as well as other market influences when extending an offer. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for these factors. Optiv offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, of which salary is a component.

As an Account Manager or Client Manager (CM) as we call it, you'll be responsible for selling Optiv security services and security technology solutions to a select few strategic accounts (typically less than 20) within a geographic territory. You'll also be responsible for owning and coordinating all aspects of the sales cycle within your assigned accounts, and leading a cross-functional team to build and execute a multi-year strategic account management plan for your top accounts. Members of this cross-functional team will typically include a Solutions Architect, Client Operations Specialist and services practices personnel as appropriate for your accounts.
Development of a multi-year strategic account management plan for your top accounts is a core responsibility for the CM. You'll identify and understand your client's core security concerns and how they correlate to Optiv solutions that mitigate these cybersecurity risks. Based upon this understanding of the client, you'll bring together appropriate Optiv technical, services and leadership personnel to collaborate with your top account client leadership to refine and/or build a security strategy, and subsequently develop and propose solutions to address client security needs. In many cases this will take the form of security technology and services solutions, and as appropriate for the client, large and complex solutions comprised of security management consulting, hardware and software security technologies, advisory, implementation and support services, and managed security services. An overarching goal is to establish a trusted relationship with the client that results in Optiv being their primary security solution partner and provider.
You'll also engage clients with a heightened focus on ever-enhancing client satisfaction. This will include meeting with your top clients early in the year to understand and document their business, technology and security goals, as well as client expectations of Optiv in support of attaining those goals.
