Job Description</b></h2>
<div><div><div><b>General Functions</b><b>:</b><p><br>
Coordinates the development of long-term strategic planning efforts among all divisions within the Fire Rescue Department.</p><p>
Work is performed with considerable independence within established department policies and goals. Work is subject to review by Division Manager through conferences, reports, and results obtained.</p><b><br>
Representative Duties/Assignments</b><b>:</b><p><i><br>
Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.</i></p><ul><li>
Coordinates and prepares the Department&rsquo;s Annual Report.</li><li>
Monitors and updates the Fire Rescue Element of the Comprehensive Plan.</li><li>
Coordinates and tracks the Department&rsquo;s performance measures.</li><li>
Provides project management support for major Department initiatives such as accreditation, grant writing, and strategic planning.</li><li>
Designs, implements, analyzes, and provides monthly/quarterly presentations of all statistical data to the Department and other governmental agencies.</li><li>
Receives, researches, and responds to inquiries and requests for information relative to Department operations.</li><li>
Designs and publishes online surveys as needed by Department personnel.</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><br>
<b>
Minimum Qualifications</b><b>:</b><p><br>
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year of experience in public administration, planning, research, and/or data analytics. A master's degree from an accredited institution may be substituted for the experience requirement. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.</p><b><br>
Preferences</b><b>:</b><p><br>
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include extensive experience with PowerPoint and Excel.</p><p>
Proficiency with Adobe In-Design.</p><p>
Experience with data analysis in a fire service agency.</p><p>
Familiarity with survey methodologies.</p></div>
