Position Summary</b></div><div>
Orange EV&rsquo;s Vehicle Safety and Compliance Department is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Regulatory Compliance Engineer. Reporting directly to the Vehicle Safety and Compliance Manager, you will utilize data-driven research and analysis to help ensure that Orange EV&rsquo;s past, present, and future model trucks are safe and compliant, to maximize overall product quality, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and repeat purchase of Orange EV Trucks.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Position Responsibilities</b></div><div><b>
Primary Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Review/investigate customer complaints, warranty, field data, and organize for reporting</li><li>
Monitor field remedies for effectiveness.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with early warning reporting.</li><li>
Conduct thorough root cause investigations of suspect safety defects or noncompliance events to build supporting documentation for determinations</li><li>
Compile necessary vehicle and powertrain documentation for yearly CARB and EPA certifications</li><li>
Facilitate Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) Assignments for upcoming production</li><li>
Coordinate, implement, track, and analyze new and existing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety (FMVSS), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and zero-emission regulatory requirements for Class 8 Truck Tractors</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Secondary Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Conduct in-depth reviews of federal, state, and other applicable laws and regulations and provide interpretations of those laws and regulations, including Canada and future markets, as necessary</li><li>
Collaborate with numerous internal teams, including Legal, Program Management, Corporate Development, Engineering, Process Engineering, and Quality, during product development to assist in compliance with applicable laws and regulations</li><li>
Lead field remedy campaign activities, including Safety Recall Campaigns and Zero Emission Powertrain Recall Campaigns. Support Field Service with Special Service Campaigns, Limited Service Campaigns, and Warranty Extension Campaigns</li><li>
Organize and manage tasks specific to regulatory compliance through Jira Software</li><li>

Position Qualifications</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to understand technical materials and communicate to non-technical audiences effectively</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to build consensus by communicating effectively through written and verbal means to various audiences</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>
High level of organization managing multiple tasks of various sizes on different schedules with ever-changing levels of priority</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and plan; proactive work ethic</li><li>
Conduct daily activities with integrity and professionalism</li><li>
Proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
Ideal Candidates Will Also Have</div><ul><li>
Experience and knowledge in interpreting FMVSS, FMCSA, and other automotive and transportation regulations, including similar regulations in Canada</li><li>
Proven expertise in data-driven problem solving and process improvement (PDCA, RC/CM, TBP, DMAIC, etc.)</li><li>
Understanding of dealership service, parts, and warranty operations and processes</li><li>
Knowledge and understanding of the vehicle manufacturing and quality assurance processes</li><li>
Basic knowledge of Jira Software</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
