Job OverviewWe are looking for a Frontend Vue.js Mobile Specialist to lead the conversion of our existing Vue.js web application into a seamless mobile app. This role is critical in enabling fast mobile deployment without duplicating codebases.You will assess our current frontend architecture and implement a scalable approach using tools such as Ionic + Capacitor (or similar), ensuring high performance, clean UI/UX, and maintainability.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Audit the existing Vue.js frontend and evaluate readiness for mobile conversion</li><li>Design and implement a strategy to convert the web app into a mobile application using tools like Ionic + Capacitor or similar</li><li>Adapt and optimize Vue components for mobile responsiveness and native-like performance</li><li>Ensure consistency in UI/UX across web and mobile platforms</li><li>Handle mobile-specific features such as navigation, responsiveness, performance optimization, and device compatibility</li><li>Containerize and deploy applications using Docker (used in multiple projects).</li><li>Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.</li><li>Architect reusable components and drive technical decisions for frontend systems.</li><li>Write efficient SQL queries and collaborate on database design (experience with PostgreSQL).</li><li>Collaborate with Backend, DevOps, and UI/UX teams to align on system architecture and delivery timelines</li><li>Test and debug across devices (iOS &amp; Android), ensuring smooth deployment</li><li>Document the conversion approach for future replication in other country platforms</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>5+ years of web and mobile frontend development experience</li><li>Strong expertise in Vue.js and Nuxt.js.</li><li>Proven experience converting web applications into mobile apps</li><li>Hands-on experience with Ionic + Capacitor or similar frameworks (e.g., Cordova, Quasar, etc.)</li><li>Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design</li><li>Experience optimizing performance for mobile environments</li><li>Strong understanding of UI/UX principles for mobile applications</li><li>Experience with cross-platform deployment (iOS &amp; Android)</li><li>Solid understanding of Google and App store deployment processes</li><li>Proficiency in PostgreSQL or other SQL databases (writing queries, schema design).</li><li>Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress) and Git workflows.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong communication skills.</li><li>English of B2 level or higher</li></ul>Nice to Have<ul><li>Experience in EdTech or digital product environments</li><li>Familiarity with CMS and SEO best practices.</li><li>Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).</li><li>Knowledge of alternative mobile frameworks (React Native, Flutter) for comparison and decision-making</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: AED50.00 - AED70.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 20 per weekWork Location: Remote
