This position is for<b> shift supervisor with warehouse or distribution center experience</b>. The schedule expectation is an evening start time. Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of hourly employees, ensuring that both customer service and internal measures are held to the highest standards.</p>

<p><b>
General Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>
Customer Service and Quality - Provide all customers served by the department with quality of service consistent with company goals.</p>
<p>
Expense and Productivity - Monitor all facets of the department activity to ensure that expense ratios for the department are within the agreed upon levels consistent with departmental budgets and goals.</p>
<p>
Human Resources - Provide an atmosphere in the department that promotes high levels of achievement and low turnover. Maintain a non-union environment.</p>
<p>
Asset Management - Monitor proper usage of both manpower and equipment. Promote and enforce safety rules for individuals and equipment. Being in compliance with all OSHA requirements for people and machinery</p>
<p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>
Customer Service</p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for shipping of all outbound orders accurately and on time.</li>
<li>Work closely with the order filling department on wave flow to the shipping department.</li>
<li>Assists in resolving order errors or discrepancies.</li>
<li>Monitors loading progression to ensure routes depart on time Respond to customers requests and inquiries in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Corporate customer service representative request and inquiries</li>
<li>Sales request and inquiries</li>
<li>Direct request and inquiries from customers</li>
<li>Promote and foster an atmosphere of good customer service throughout the department.</li>
<li>Communicates customers expectations and load quality requirements</li>
<li>Coaches and develops employees in proper loading procedures.</li>
<li>Collaborates and communicates closely with the transportation department to ensure customer needs are met through a team effort.</li>
<li>Reviews Truck Loading Report Forecast for potential loading issues</li>
<li>Reviews Order Pull Errors and Stats Report for potential order errors</li>
<li>Provides employees with information concerning run changes and add ons</li>
<li>Assist and ensures Dock Set Up is correct</li>
<li>Updates transportation department on load departures and possible delays.</li>
</ul>

<li>Monitors individual employee productivity and quality results</li>

<p>Human Resource Management</p>

<li>Maintain staffing levels to provide superior customer service</li>
<li>Assist in interviewing and hiring new employees</li>
<li>Maintains department attendance records</li>
<li>Approves weekly time records</li>
<li>Schedules employees vacation requests</li>
<li>Stay current with employees attendance disciplinary steps.</li>
<li>Ability to coach, develop, and facilitate individual team members as it relates to overall performance.</li>
<li>Oversees new employee training process</li>
<li>Stays current with employee evaluations</li>
<li>Upholds, supports and maintains safety standards at all times.</li>
<li>Conducts daily safety reminders in start up meetings</li>
<li>Leads and participates in daily stretching exercises</li>
<li>Monitors and keeps an awareness of potential safety hazards</li>
</ul>
<p>Asset Management</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintains the required level of housekeeping in the department</li>
<li>Ensures all equipment is proper working order</li>
<li>Communicates needed equipment repairs with maintenance department</li>
</ul>

<li> Able to manage time efficiently. Handle multiple tasks and complete priorities</li>
<li>Establish good working relationships with other departments to insure smooth transition of all outbound functions.</li>

</div><p></p><p>Yard Associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling merchandise, unloading or loading trucks, and waiting on customers. Yard Associates must protect company assets such as trucks and forklifts and must always act in a safe and professional manner.</p><br>

<div><div><div><p><b>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</b></p></div></div><br>
</div>
</div><p><b>Customer Service and Inventory Maintenance:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Greet customers or professional contractors in a friendly manner upon entry into the yard or warehouse.</li>
<li>Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard and warehouse.</li>
<li>Assist truck drivers in delivery of merchandise to homeowners and job sites using company equipment.</li>
<li>Load materials into customers&rsquo; vehicles or on to company delivery vehicles, after validating type and quantity based on the record of the transaction from the company&rsquo;s point-of-sale system.</li>
<li>Develop thorough expertise related to operation of the forklifts, warehouse lifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment utilized for product movement at the store.</li>
<li>Unload incoming freight, taking care not to damage the incoming goods or the equipment that belongs to the carrier.</li>
<li>Accurately build loads and prepare materials for delivery before delivery takes place.</li>
<li>Identify product shortages and out-of-stocks and report to store management.</li>
<li>Maintain yard and warehouse maintenance in clean and orderly condition.</li>
<li>Assist cashiers or other store personnel as requested when customers need help with items taken through the register, such as bagged goods or bulky items.</li>
<li>Assist with contractor sales counter functions as necessary.</li></ul><br>

<p><b>
Safety &amp; Loss Prevention:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Possess strong working knowledge of store security measures as they relate to delivery and yard operations.</li>
<li>Ensure all equipment is in good condition and safe (ladders, forklifts, trucks)</li>
<li>Follow company safety guidelines and basic safety practices at all times.</li>
<li>Attend and participate at regular safety meetings with store associates.</li>
<li>Prepare delivered inventory in a manner that best protects against loss and theft (proper banding and strapping, tarps as necessary, job site drops, etc.)</li>
</ul><p><i>Perform other duties similar to those above as assigned by the store manager's supervisor or other qualified corporate or platform representative.</i></p><br>

</div><p></p><p>Must be able to perform each duty and responsibility in a satisfactory manner. Qualifications include forklift certification, some delivery experience, experience dealing with the public, basic math skills, and satisfactory reading, writing, and speaking skills. Knowledge of lumber, building materials, and material handling is preferred. Must be able to lift and load merchandise weighing up to 100 lbs. for various amounts of time, place merchandise in locations above six feet in height, unload a delivery truck, climb a ladder, and maneuver safely at store, in yard or warehouse, and at job sites. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.</p><br>
