ABOUT THE ROLE:
Do you possess extensive experience in legal and compliance matters within the insurance industry, coupled with a keen attention to detail? Orion180 is looking for a Compliance Analyst to help our Compliance and Legal Department with projects that make sure we follow the rules. This job is an important part of our expanding Legal and Regulatory Compliance team, which works with all parts of the company to make sure that everything runs smoothly and that the rules are followed.
WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO:
Legal &amp; Corporate Governance<ul><li>
Maintain and update compliance and corporate databases with accurate and timely information.</li><li>
Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and responses to regulatory inquiries and examinations.</li></ul>
Compliance &amp; Regulatory Support<ul><li>
Detect, resolve, and prevent compliance deficiencies and regulatory risks.</li><li>
Provide legal and compliance support for our active states and assistance with expansion into new markets.</li><li>
Assist with surplus line portal filings and communicate with applicable surplus line offices.</li></ul>
Recordkeeping &amp; Legal Operations<ul><li>
Maintain company records through our data vault and document management systems.</li><li>
Assist in developing and improving internal compliance procedures and reporting processes.</li><li>
Assist in surplus lines filing reviews and the revision/resubmission process.</li></ul>
WHAT WE&rsquo;RE LOOKING FOR:<ul><li>
Education: Associate Degree from an accredited U.S. college or equivalent combination of education and legal experience.</li><li>
Experience: Minimum of one year of general insurance industry experience. Compliance experience is desirable.</li><li>
Research Skills: Proficiency in LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools is desirable.</li><li>
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.</li><li>
Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with a sense of urgency.</li><li>
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).</li></ul>

While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading; being able to lift light objects (&lt;25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
