Job Overview</b></p><p><br>
We are seeking a skilled<b> </b>Medical Courier to become a valuable member of our team based in Baton Rouge, LA. The medical courier will work with the operations team to pick up client samples in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. Routine daily tasks include supply deliveries, sample pick-ups, maintaining specimen integrity, logging of samples and communication of delays. Couriers will be provided courier cars and gas by Orion Laboratories and additional supplies needed to complete deliveries.</p><br>

Key Responsibilities</b></p><br>
<p></p>
<ul><li>
Perform routine specimen pick-up and delivery to laboratory according to established standards, procedures, and guidelines</li><li>
Check warehouse at the beginning of shift for supply deliveries to designated locations</li><li>
Maintain company standards of customer service, timeliness, and attention to detail</li><li>
Abide by all traffic ordinances, appropriate rates of speed, and defensive driving tactics</li><li>
Follow CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in the respective policies</li><li>
Ensure proper functions of the courier car, including routine passes to verify no damage to body or tires of the car. Report any problems or new issues to Manager</li><li>
Report any performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors</li><li>
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li></ul><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Clean driving record</li></ul><br>
