Boutique Missoula Law Firm Seeking ParalegalWe are a small law firm with a diverse civil litigation practice based in Missoula, Montana. We are seeking an organized, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and driven individual to join our team of motivated lawyers and staff to help us continue to provide excellent legal representation to our clients.The position:<ul><li>Full time (37.5 hours per week)</li><li>8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (some flexibility allowed)</li><li>In person, based in downtown Missoula, Montana.</li></ul>Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Case/file management and organization;</li><li>Ensure drafts, incoming/outgoing documents, notes, and other case/file related documents are saved and shared appropriately.</li><li>Assisting with discovery production.</li><li>Maintaining attorneys&rsquo; calendar of case-related events, deadlines, and reminders.</li><li>Assist attorneys in managing time, projects, and meeting deadlines.</li><li>Communicating with clients, opposing parties, witnesses, experts, and other third-party individuals.</li><li>Drafting, proofreading, revising, and finalizing legal documents and correspondence.</li><li>Preparing and filing documents with courts and administrative bodies.</li><li>Basic legal research, including analyzing and understanding rules of civil procedure, local court rules, and ensuring correct statutory citations.</li><li>Other duties/projects as assigned or needed by the firm.</li></ul>About you:The ideal candidate possesses the following skills and attributes:<ul><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>Exceptional time management skills</li><li>Keen attention to detail</li><li>Clutter and chaos adverse</li><li>Grammarian</li><li>Highly organized and able to utilize systems of organization as provided</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of team</li><li>Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</li><li>A healthy sense of humor</li><li>Working knowledge and competency in the following programs:</li></ul>-Microsoft Office Suite-Nuance/Foxit/Adobe or other PDF editing software-Legal File Management Software, such as MyCase, Clio, Practice Panther, NetDocs<ul><li>At minimum, bachelor&rsquo;s degree, or 3 years&rsquo; experience in the legal field.</li><li>Current, valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>Notary Public (preferred but not required)</li></ul>Compensation:Wages are competitive and dependent on experience but will be no less than $24.00 per hour.Employees receive medical, dental and vision insurance program paid for by the Firm and paid holidays/Firm closures.12 days PTO per year, plus additional paid personal days.After 1 year, employees are eligible to receive bonuses and to take part in the Firm&rsquo;s retirement/investment fund matching program.How to apply: Please submit the following documents via email through this ad:1.
